EN→ITThe Asus ExpertBook P3 isn’t the most exciting laptop we’ve ever encountered. If we were talking about a gaming setup, that might be a point against it. But in the workplace, you don’t really want exciting (unless your job is disarming landmines with a pogo stick). It’s solid, dependable, and works hard, all while not trying too hard to call attention to itself. It’s Bill from that unspecified department that always manages to fix problems in minutes. That’s not a bad thing. The only drawback that we can see is the competition from Apple’s MacBook Air range. Similar pricing means it’s very easy to discard the ExpertBook P3 as a choice if the prevailing office culture favours Tim Cook’s fruit-flavoured machines. But if you’re in a Windows workplace, your IT guy will probably love setting you up on the company network on this machine. There are no real surprises. Just quiet, quick productivity.

Either model is a great professional laptop, so it's more a question of budget, requirements, and style, but if you're in the market for a future-ready, big-screen business device, this is one of the best we've seen.

ASUS Expertbook PM3 è un notebook che si rivolge in modo specifico alle necessità d'uso di un utente d'azienda, sia che operi fisso alla scrivania in ufficio sia che si sposti frequentemente in differenti ambienti di lavoro. L'autonomia di funzionamento garantita dalla batteria da 70Wh di capacità e la costruzione robusta rendono facilmente accessibili tutti i tipici scenari d'uso di chi si serve di un PC per le proprie attività professionali. Lo schermo da 16 pollici di diagonale ha evidenziato un comportamento che è quello tipico dei pannelli inseriti in sistemi di questo tipo. La risoluzione elevata e il rapporto di 16:10 tra i lati sono pensati per massimizzare la produttività in ambiente di lavoro; non spicca per bilanciamwnto cromatico, caratteristica che è molto più importante in modelli maggiormente votati alla creazione di contenuti come immagini e video.

EN→ITOn the face of it, a great laptop, until I realised that Asus had flushed 50% of its performance away by making a silly decision on memory modules. That point aside, this is a nice system with more ports than many laptops get these days, and an excellent Ryzen platform. There are a few areas where this machine could be improved, opening up the option for a P3 Plus model with a 2.5GbE LAN port and the USB4 ports that the processor natively supports. But for the relatively low asking price, for the majority of office users, this machine is excellent, if you don’t make the horrible mistake of buying one with a single memory module.

AMD Radeon 860M: Una iGPU con architettura RDNA 3.5 piuttosto potente che ha debuttato all'inizio del 2025 e che è il diretto successore della Radeon 760M. Le sue 8 CU/WGP (512 shader unificati) funzionano fino a 3 GHz. DX12 Ultimate, ray tracing, generazione di immagini AI e altre funzioni moderne sono tutte supportate, così come molti codec video popolari, tra cui in primo luogo AVC, HEVC, VP9 e AV1. Le sue prestazioni di gioco sono abbastanza buone per giocare a 2024 giochi con impostazioni grafiche basse.

i7-13620H: CPU mobile basata su Alder Lake con 6 core ad alte prestazioni e 4 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, che porta a 16 thread che possono essere elaborati. La CPU ha un clock da 1,8 a 4,9 GHz e supporta vPro.
AMD Strix / Gorgon Point:
Ryzen AI 7 350: Un processore relativamente potente della famiglia Strix Point che ha debuttato nell'ottobre 2024. L'APU ad architettura ibrida presenta 8 core di CPU (un mix di core Zen 5 e Zen 5c) che funzionano fino a 5,0 GHz, insieme all'adattatore grafico Radeon 880M e al motore neurale XDNA 2 di 50 TOPS. Il Secure Processor di AMD (che in poche parole è un co-processore ARM on-package) è presente a bordo, così come alcune altre caratteristiche di fascia alta, come AMD-Vi. Altre caratteristiche chiave sono PCIe 4, USB 4 e supporto RAM fino a LPDDR5x-8000, compresa la RAM ECC. L'obiettivo di potenza TDP a lungo termine può arrivare a 55 W.
