EN→ITThe secret to a low-cost gaming laptop is quite similar to a low-budget productivity one: don't let the customer notice where the cost-saving trade-offs were made. As long as there are no obvious pain points, the consumer will usually be satisfied with the product. So, did Acer succeed? Not entirely. Yes, in terms of sheer framerate per dollar, the Nitro V 16 AI posts high marks. Excellent battery life and connectivity add to the overall value, as does the serviceable keyboard and generous touchpad. Moreover, the end user can upgrade the storage, RAM, and wireless networking. That's a winning combination that's hard to beat for the money.

EN→ITThe Acer Nitro V 16 AI isn't a thriller of a gaming laptop, but it's an effective one for the price. In this range, a budget gaming laptop that simply works well is commendable. The Nitro can run AAA games at well over 60fps, often at high settings, for less than $800 on sale. Plus, with a comfortable keyboard and a fast display, the Nitro is 100% independently ready for competitive gaming. Of course, such a low price requires trade-offs. (Here, they include a poor display color range, a second-rate touchpad, and tight internal storage.) But the offsets are effective gaming performance, and long battery life for everything else. Acer's Nitro V 16 AI doesn't unseat the Editors' Choice-award-winning MSI Katana 15HX, but it's an excellent alternative that's both bigger and cheaper, if you're cool with the compromises.

EN→ITThe Acer Nitro V 16 AI is a respectable budget gaming laptop that provides decent game performance and surprisingly good battery life. I also like the laptop’s 16-inch display with 1200p resolution, which is a step up from competitors with a 15.6-inch 1080p display. Other advantages include a wide range of physical connectivity and a decent touchpad. However, the AMD Ryzen 5 240 doesn’t post great results in CPU tests and the laptop has to make do with just 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The built-in speakers are a miss, too. I recommend the Acer Nitro V 16 AI over most of the budget gaming laptops I’ve tested or used in 2025. It’s among the more affordable entries in this arena and manages to avoid issues (like short battery life and a sub-par display) that impact competitors including the Lenovo LOQ 15 and HP Victus 15. Also keep a sharp eye on price.

EN→ITThe Acer Nitro V 16S AI is a solid mid-range contender that delivers where it counts. You’re getting reliable performance whether you’re playing at 1080p or pushing it to 1440p, but the real shocker is the battery life—it actually lasts longer than you’d expect for a machine with this much hardware. Plus, the keyboard feels great for long grinds, and the port selection is top-tier for creators. The IPS panel is bright and gets the job done, though it admittedly lacks that “wow” factor and deep blacks you’d get from an OLED screen. Compared to the older Nitro V16, this “S AI” refresh is a clear step up. You’re getting a nice performance bump thanks to the newer internals and significantly better endurance away from the wall, all while keeping that clean, minimalist look that doesn’t scream “gamer” in a coffee shop. Unfortunately, even middle-of-the-road laptops like these aren’t unaffected by the component crush – our review unit, as configured, is priced at Php 109,000 because of the amount of RAM and storage it has. I wish it were cheaper, but given how crazy prices are for components, that’s just how gaming laptops are priced locally.

EN→ITSo, does this laptop meet the standard for the best thin-and-light gaming laptop? In a way, it does, it has what it takes to be a good thin and light gaming device, but like I said before, the V 16S series is the most underperforming in Acer Nitro Gaming laptops. The cost is also not on the better side. We can get the Acer Nitro 16 AI with Ryzen 5 240 and the same GPU at a relatively lower price, or the Lenovo LOQ with Ryzen 7 250 and a higher TGP can also be a great alternative if you don't care much about the laptop being thin.

EN→ITThe review included the youngest version of the Acer Nitro V 16S AI, but it also performs its tasks well. The configuration is enough for comfortable gaming at native resolution, and the cooling system allows the laptop to work stably under any load. At the same time, the model's case has a relatively small thickness, and the weight reaches only 2.1 kg. The display is high-quality, bright and has a refresh rate of 180 Hz, the keyboard is full-size and quite comfortable to use, and the set of connectors has everything you need, including a card reader. And it is worth mentioning separately a good level of battery life, as for a gaming model.

EN→ITThe Acer Nitro V 16 AI is a mixed bag. It's packed with the latest hardware and a gorgeous 16-inch display, but the chassis is nothing to write home about. The performance when running AI and creative applications is pretty solid, but the battery benchmark we ran dropped out after just 95 minutes.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU:
I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).

AMD Hawk Point (Zen 4/4c):
AMD Strix / Gorgon Point:
