HP prova questo esperimento, ed installa la più veloce APU Carrizo oltre ad un SSD ed un pannello WQHD IPS nel suo EliteBook 745 G3. Ma come si comporta questa macchina da 1300 Euro (~$1404) rispetto alla concorrenza Intel?

The HP EliteBook 745 G5 has some impressive features, including a solid build and a good array of ports. The keyboard is comfortable to use, although the cut-out for the pointing stick is oversized and makes typing with the G, H and B keys awkward. HP: Fondata nel 1939, l'azienda statunitense è un importante produttore di server e stampanti e una delle aziende IT leader a livello mondiale. Fino al 2015, la società si chiamava Hewlett-Packard Company. Dopo una scissione, la divisione computer è stata ribattezzata HP Inc.
Nel 2023, HP deteneva una quota di mercato approssimativa del 22% delle vendite globali di PC, diventando così il numero 2 dopo Lenovo.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
AMD Radeon R6 (Kaveri):

Scheda grafica integrata nelle APUs Carrizo AMD. Si basa sulla terza generazione di architettura GCN con 512 shader cores. Le performance dipendono dalla configurazione TDP del chip (varia tra 12 e 35 Watt).
AMD Radeon R6 (Carrizo):
Scheda grafica integrata nelle APUs Carrizo AMD. Si basa sulla architettura GCN di terza generazione con 384 di 512 shader cores. Le performance dipendono dalla configurazione TDP del chip (che varia da 12 a 35 Watt).
AMD Radeon R7 (Bristol Ridge):
Scheda grafica integrata in alcune APUs Bristol Ridge e basata sull'architettura GCN con 512 unità shader e velocità clock fino a 900 MHz (9830P).
AMD Vega 10:
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

Pro A10-8700B:
APU Carrizo di fascia media del 2015 che contiene due moduli CPU "Excavator" (con 4 cores integer e 2 FP che funzionano come 4 compute cores). Le performance possono differire molto in base alla configurazione del TDP (che varia da 12 a 35 Watts). E' simile alla versione consumer, A10-8700P, ma offre supporto business e garantisce un esteso supporto per i programmi.
AMD Bristol Ridge:
PRO A12-9800B:
Versione business della APU AMD FX-9800P e pertanto si basa sulla generazione Bristol Ridge. Integra 4 CPU cores (2 moduli con 4 unità integer e 2 unità FP) con clock da 2.7 - 3.6 GHz. Ha un TDP da 12 - 15 Watt (configurabile dal produttore del laptop).
AMD Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APU):
R7 2700U:
APU mobile Quad-Core che usa cores Zen con clock tra 2.2 e 3.8 GHz e scheda grafica Vega con 10 CUs con clock fino a 1300 MHz.
