A few days ago, one of Nintendo's Switch-exclusive Mario games, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, received a hefty discount of 90%. Now, the critically acclaimed predecessor, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, has followed suit with a substantial discount. Just like Sparks of Hope, Kingdom Battle combines Nintendo’s Mario characters with Ubisoft’s Rabbids, placing them together in a turn-based adventure built around tactical combat, exploration and puzzles. Players assemble a team and battle across several worlds while using different weapons and abilities.

Kingdom Battle arrived in 2017, the Switch's launch year, when Nintendo was guarding its mascot closely, so an outside studio gaining access was a surprise. The gamble paid off. The game holds an 92 on OpenCritic, and won the title of "Best Strategy Game" at the Game Critics Awards, Gamescom and The Game Awards 2017.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is currently available via the Nintendo eShop for $5.99, down from its regular $39.99 price, representing an 85% discount. The offer is part of Ubisoft’s current Nintendo Switch sale and is scheduled to run until October 8, 2026. The Gold Edition is also discounted to $8.99, while Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is available for $5.99.
