Al Mobile World Congress dei prossimi giorni Ulefone anticiperà la seconda versione di questo Armor (dettagli tecnici), ma già questa mi ha convinto ed è sopravvissuta alle innumerevoli cadute o immersioni. Il design non è certo il massimo, altrettanto i materiali e il display, ma fa quello che dice ed ha anche una buona base hardware che assicura la potenza di calcolo necessaria. Soprattutto se pensiamo al costo davvero contenuto di 160 dollari su Gearbest (circa 150€ al cambio).

In conclusione Ulefone Armor è un prodotto davvero interessante perché può essere impiegato in condizioni di esercizio variegate e anche in situazioni complesse. Non vi nascondo possa essere la scelta più giusta per una persona anziana che non abbia ben inteso che lo smartphone è un oggetto delicato oppure per un utente giovane che sia solito distruggere un cellulare al mese.

Il prezzo è allineato alle prestazioni velocistiche. Costa solo 160 euro ed è il telefono ideale per i muratori, gli agricoltori e, in generale, per chi fa lavori che mettono a rischio il telefono. E' davvero resistente! io l'ho usato 7 giorni e sono sopravvissuto..è anche affidabile e sono comunque riuscito a farci tutto. Foto bruttarelle, qualche difficoltà con il bluetooth (lo stack Mediatek non è il massimo di affidabilità) ma, alla fine, quello che costa vale. E l'IP68 è vero!!! Peccato non abbia potuto lanciarlo dal quinto piano...devo restituirlo. Ma quasi senza un graffio!!!

It also runs very well, no doubt in part due to the fact that its CPU is in fact more powerful than that of the Armor 6 – a Helio P70 in comparison to the latter’s P60. The camera is solid if unremarkable, with a variety of modes that you probably won’t find yourself using because of the not-quite stellar quality, but the 6E also comes with a nifty UV sensor and barometer – making it good for taking on extended outdoor trips.

Le conclusioni quali sono? Davvero resistente, ha retto a tutti i lanci sulla neve e contro il muro, ha retto all'automobile che passava sopra e ha retto alla nottata incastrato nella neve. Si è rotto? Sì, ma solo dopo averlo lanciato da 5 piani, senza neanche andare in mille pezzi. Rimane comunque uno smartphone molto affidabile e con una autonomia notevole. Ha un peso e dimensioni notevoli, è un rugged. Va sistemata la questione dei processi killati in maniera troppo aggressiva e le patch di sicurezza sono ferme ad agosto. Rimane comunque il miglior rugged provato ad oggi, con prestazioni buone e paragonabili ad un buon medio gamma.

The Ulefone Armor 11 looks like it offers a considerable amount of features for a rugged phone. It packs a large battery, an IP68/IP69K rating, and a night vision camera, but those features don’t make up for the obvious shortcomings. If you are looking for a rugged phone that’s built to last and has moderately decent features, then the Ulefone Armor 11 isn’t it. While battery and processor performance are both stellar, the extremely cheap build quality and poor night vision camera make the phone hard to recommend. The steep $579 price doesn’t help either, and you would be better off looking at alternatives such as the Cat S62 Pro ($649) or the Doogee S96 Pro ($389). Both offer a better overall experience and cost less. Unfortunately for Ulefone, the Armor 11 is a big miss.

Questa volta il focus è sulla resistenza agli standard militari e sulla certificazione IP69K di questo Ulefone Armor 12! Il prezzo è di 399 euro, ora in offerta a 369 e direi che ci sta, per tutti quelli che non vogliono pensieri e che usano lo smartphone in situazioni estreme o lavorano in condizioni particolari lui è perfetto, promosso!

Ulefone has added yet another handset to its bulging portfolio; the Armor 12 5G is the cheapest 5G rugged handset we have tested to date but that doesn’t mean that it lacks unique selling points. Ulefone innovated by radically changing the design of the Armor 12 to something a bit more refreshing, at the same time, it added an antibacterial product (composite silver ion) as well as adding two speakers for improved audio performance. Add five camera sensors, wireless charging and a larger than average battery and you have a rugged smartphone that’s worthy of interest. Its low resolution and the use of the slower Dimensity 700 processor are the two potential blots on an otherwise great spec sheet. As for the competition, other than the fabulous Nokia XR20 (far more expensive and a tad slower but also protected by a three-year warranty), there’s the Doogee V10 ($260 at the time of writing and next on our review list) and the Oukitel WP13 ($240).

To put it bluntly, this isn’t the most powerful rugged phone Ulefone has made, although because the interface is reasonably snappy, most users will be gloriously unaware of its limitations, at least initially. Other limitations include the inability to capture better than 1080p video, no 5G comms, and only 480p streaming of Netflix. These are mostly issues to do with the Helio G35 SoC, and its use of the ARM Cortex-A53 that needs to be put out to pasture. The inclusion of the integrated Earbuds is a nice touch, but it appears that Ulefone doesn’t list replacements should you accidentally break or lose them. Overall, the Armor 15 doesn’t take enough steps forward and suffers in comparison with the cheaper Power Armor 14 Pro(opens in new tab) design. Inevitably Ulefone will make a Pro model that addresses some of these issues, but probably not all of them.

Released on November 2022, the Ulefone Armor 12S smartphone comes with a decent 6nm Mediatek Helio G99 chipset that is integrated with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is also equipped with 6.52 inches IPS display panel with HD+ resolution. For software, the Ulefone Armor 12S runs on Android 12 OS and the main strength lies in its MIL-STD-810G military-grade compliant standard and IP68 rating, which not only makes it rock solid but also dust/water resistant. Apart from this, the device is available for purchase with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In case you run out of storage there is support for an SD card as well on the smartphone. As for cameras, the Ulefone Armor 12S comes equipped with a 50MP quad camera setup that can record a maximum of 1440p resolution videos at 30fps. You also get a 16MP selfie camera at the front for video calls. You also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a massive Li-Po 5180 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support. It is also NFC enabled and the phone is available currently available in the US at a price tag of $259 (Rs 21,490 in India) approx. You can purchase the phone in Gray and Black color variants.

Ulefone:

Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Helio P90:

SoC octa-core basato su ARM con 2x grandi cores ARM Cortex-A75 (2,2 GHz max.) e 6x cores ARM Cortex-A55 piccoli e ad alta efficienza energetica (2 GHz max.). Integra un modem LTE Modem Cat-12 (DL) / Cat-13 (UL) LTE (4G), una GPU IMG PowerVR GM 9446 e un'unità di elaborazione AI dedicata.

Helio G99:

SoC octa-core basato su ARM con 2 core ARM Cortex-A76 di grandi dimensioni e 6 core ARM Cortex-A55 di piccole dimensioni, ad alta efficienza energetica. Il tutto con un clock di 2,2 GHz. Ha un modem LTE Cat-13 (4G) integrato e una scheda grafica ARM Mali-G57 MP2. Rispetto al precedente Helio G96, il G99 è prodotto con il più recente processo a 6 nm e ha frequenze più elevate.
