EN→IT Archive.org versionThe Toshiba C50-A Toshiba Satellite C50-A I0110t exhibits decent performance in office applications and multimedia operations, but it falters a bit at multitasking. Its display quality is nothing to write home about, but it is nevertheless as responsive as you would expect of a Windows 8 capacitive multi-touch screen. The large 15.6"screen size makes it ideal as a desktop replacement, rather than an Ultrabook that can be carried around, as it is too heavy and bulky for that. The battery backup time ought to have been better with such a high-capacity 6-cell battery especially since there is no discrete graphics. Probably its only saving grace is its affordable price tag of Rs 40,656, which at this price you usually get a non-touchscreen laptop with similar or better configuration.

Duraturo e silenzioso. Il Satellite C50-A-1JU è un portatile da ufficio basilare realizzato su un Bay Trail Pentium. Il laptop per circa 400 Euro (~$545) promette una lunga autonomia, e buone emissioni con un processore quad-core energeticamente efficiente. Il nostro test mostra come si comporta dal punto di vista pratico.

It’s no surprise that this laptop is among the best-sellers on Amazon – it could be used as an everyday machine for everyone that needs a notebook for office work, watching movies, surfing the Web, listening to music or light gaming (on low settings). If you travel a lot, you’ll be pleased with the battery life – almost six hours. The only thing we didn’t like about the design is that most of the ports are located on the right side. However, we’ve got a comfortable keyboard and touchpad, thin display bezel and nice looks (especially the white version).

Toshiba: Toshiba Corporation è un conglomerato o gruppo tecnologico giapponese. L'azienda è stata fondata nel 1939 e nel 1978 Toshiba è diventata il nome ufficiale dell'azienda. I prodotti e i servizi dell'azienda includono energia, sistemi di infrastrutture industriali e sociali, ascensori e scale mobili, componenti elettronici, semiconduttori, dischi rigidi, stampanti, batterie, illuminazione, logistica e tecnologia dell'informazione. Toshiba è stato uno dei maggiori produttori di personal computer, elettronica di consumo, elettrodomestici e apparecchiature mediche.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 4000: Processore grafico high end tra i modelli Ivy Bridge. Offre una differente velocità clock nei diversi modelli di CPU (da ULV a desktop quad core) e di conseguenza con prestazioni variabili.
NVIDIA GeForce 710M: GPU entry level della serie 700M basata sulla GT 620M.
AMD Radeon HD 8330:
Scheda grafica integrata dell'APU AMD A4-5000 ("Kabini"). Basata sull'architettura GCN, integra 128 shader units ed ha un clock da 500 MHz.
AMD Radeon HD 8400: GPU integrata GCN-based con 128 shader units e senza VRAM dedicata. Ha un clock da 600 MHz e si accoppia con le APUs AMD Richland A6 "Kabini.
AMD Radeon R3 (Mullins/Beema):
GPU integrata su alcune APUs AMD Beema o Mullins. Basata sull'architettura GCN con 128 shader units ed un core clock da 350 - 600 MHz.
Intel HD Graphics 5500:
Scheda grafica integrata (GT2) nei processori Core della Broadwell U-series (15 W TDP).
Intel HD Graphics 4400:
GPU ULV integrata (GT2) con 20 EUs che si trova su alcuni processori Haswell.
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): GPU Bay Trail SoCs integrata per tablet e notebook. Si basa sulla GPU Ivy Bridge con quattro Execution Units e supporta DirectX 11.

3110M: Dual-core Ivy-Bridge-based, 2.4 GHz di core clock (nessun turbo), includeuna GPU HD 4000.
3217U: CPU ULV Ivy-Bridge-based del secondo quadrimestre 2012. Offre un core clock di 1.8 GHz (ma non il Turbo Boost) ed una GPU HD 4000 (350 - 1050 MHz). Il TDP è di 17 W.

APU quad-core per portatili economici, con nome in codice Kabini. Si basa sull'architettura Jaguar. Integra una scheda grafica Radeon HD 8330.
A6-5200: APU Quad-core per portatili low-end, nome in codice Kabini. Di basa sull'architettura Jaguar. Integra una scheda grafica Radeon HD 8400.
Intel Pentium:
N3520: Soc con processore quad core Atom integrato con clock da 2.2 - 2.4 GHz e GPU Intel HD Graphics.
Intel Celeron:
N2820: Soc con processore quad core Atom integrato con clock fino a 2.4 GHz e GPU Intel HD Graphics.
