In conclusione questo Samsung S21+ 5G sì è dimostrato un’ottimo prodotto con prestazioni decisamente eccellenti sia lato software che lato hardware; una po’ sottotono le fotocamere ma vabbè, speriamo che l’azienda si migliori ulteriormente con i prossimi top gamma che vedremo l’anno prossimo. Il prezzo si attesta sugli 800/900€ online, mentre nei negozi lo si trova a 100/200€ in più per la versione 128GB con 8GB di RAM; il prezzo sale a 1000/1100€ per la versione 256GB sempre con 8GB di RAM. Ricordo infine che non è presente in nessun modello l’espansione di memoria tramite Micro SD.

Samsung Galaxy S21+ è lo smartphone della famiglia S21 per chi non vuole esagerare, soprattutto se si parla di dimensioni, peso e prezzo. Si distingue abbastanza da S21 per giustificare la differenza di prezzo, ma considerando le poi non molte novità rispetto all'anno scorso può valer la pena valutare varie offerte che di sicuro arriveranno nei mesi. Questo S21 Plus è un po' la via di mezzo. Non ha le prestazioni dell'Ultra, ma comunque più grande del normale seppur ad un prezzo comunque maggiore. Lo consiglierei agli indecisi, ma in realtà a nessuno, nonostante vada molto bene. Costa 1079 euro, va esattamente come S21 standard ed ha un display più grande e una durata della batteria lievemente maggiore.

Samsung might have pared back the features on the S21 and S21 Plus, but I think it works in this phone’s favor. Having the display tuned down to 1080p works just fine, especially in the adaptive refresh rate mode. If you’re using a Galaxy S20 Plus, however, this isn’t a worthy upgrade. The software features Samsung introduced with the S21 will trickle down to your device, if they haven’t already. You still have excellent performance, an awesome display, and plenty of camera power to keep you happy. Moreover, if you’re using a Galaxy S20 FE, then I strongly recommend against upgrading to the Galaxy S21 or S21 Plus. Samsung put out a great phone with the S20 FE and it’s honestly the best Android competitor to the S21 and S21 Plus at this point.

And it is this choice that I like the most in this year's Galaxy S. We choose a larger or smaller smartphone, not weaker or stronger ... Of course, Galaxy S21+ is more expensive than the base model. This is the latest offering from Samsung to cross my desk. While it supports 5G it also works perfectly well for those of us who do not have those faster transfer speeds available on our doorsteps. The phone feels very solid with what looks to me a light violet back, and, on this back, three cameras in a vertical line at the top left corner that look like a set of traffic lights, for some reason this area is in a gold colour which draws your eye to it, so why not smile.

The gap between the models widens with the S21 series, and it feels like Samsung is very much pushing the most demanding users in the direction of the Ultra – very much like we saw it do with the Note 20 series. The S21 Plus could become a hard phone to recommend, given that last year’s S20 Plus has the same camera setup and screen size, but with a higher resolution; the S21 Plus has a better chipset and a larger battery, but anyone looking for either of those should look at the S21 Ultra, which ups the game in every way.

Since it was a hands-on before the official launch, we had limited time and space to explore the Galaxy S21 series with. We used the time to better understand Director's View, a new feature joining Samsung's already pro-grade series of cameras and camera functionalities. In a nutshell, Director's View is a unique live-editing feature for video recording. It has three main components. There's a key video feed that takes up most of the recording and a picture-in-picture feed of the opposing, user-facing camera. Three other video feeds on the right allow the user to preview the look and feel coming from Samsung's other rear lenses running in real-time (called Live Thumbnail). Tapping on any of the three feeds would swap the main feed out for the other. In a completed recording, you actually do not see any of previews from other lenses - only the picture-in-picture feed and the main, world-facing footage remains.
