OnePlus Nord N10 è uno smartphone che non è riuscito a convincermi e che definirei un’occasione mancata. Scrivo questo perchè le premesse erano ottime: OnePlus, dopo aver debuttato alla grandissima con OnePlus One, ha iniziato ad alzare progressivamente i suoi prezzi, mantenendo però sempre alta l’asticella della qualità; per mettere le mani su uno smartphone dell’azienda, ormai da diversi anni, sono necessarie diverse centinaia di Euro e la scelta di iniziare a produrre anche dispositivi medio gamma ad un prezzo più accessibile è stata accolta con entusiasmo da molti, me compreso.

OnePlus Nord N10 5G è uno smartphone che dispone di alcune caratteristiche interessanti spesso assenti su altri dispositivi. Ci riferiamo alla presenza del jack audio per le cuffie, alla possibilità di espandere la memoria, alla ricarica a 30W e al buon comparto audio stereo. A supporto di queste ultime, ci sono inoltre un comparto fotografico che non delude le aspettative, un completo reparto connettività e una buona autonomia. Tuttavia, Nord N10 5G presenta prestazioni deludenti, qualche bug software di troppo, un design che non convince del tutto e un display IPS LCD, che pur restando buono per gli standard di questa tecnologia soffre se messo a confronto con un AMOLED.

La scelta del processore, la qualità costruttiva solo discreta e una vocazione multimediale più che alle prestazioni lo rednono uno smartphone atipico, nel quale è molto difficile scorgere le peculiarità che hanno reso OnePlus il brand tanto amato dal pubblico di appassionati.

Costa 349 euro, non ha senso. C'è Nord a 399 euro che è molto meglio e ci sono cinesi, Realme 7 Pro, Xiaomi e affini che con hardware paragonbile costano meno. Lui è affidabile e la Oxygen è sempre piacevole. Intendiamoci, il telefono va bene, andrebbe bene al 95% di noi, io sono tranquillamente sopravvissuto a 2 giorni con un Motorola da 130 euro, ma la domanda è: ha senso? Secondo me no e OnePlus non doveva cadere nella trappola dei tanti telefoni per vendere e fare fatturato. Forse funzionerà ma da fan OnePlus sono deluso. Forse ha più senso N100 1 99 euro. O forse no, ha lo Snapdragon 460 montato sul Motorola da 130 euro... BHA.

Insomma OnePlus Nord N10 5G è lo smartphone che decreta, insieme a N100, lo sbarco dell’azienda sulla fascia bassa del mercato, fascia fin dalla nascita scartata in quanto contrastante rispetto agli impegni presi con la community. Si nota come OnePlus voglia allargare gli orizzonti e cercare di offrire qualcosa di più anche su fasce inferiori tuttavia arriva un po’ tardi, giusto qualche mese dopo gli assi calati da Xiaomi come Mi 10 Lite 5G o Poco X2 NFC che di fatto hanno rovinato i giochi un po’ a tutti essendo ora disponibili a prezzi super competitivi.

It’s an affordable mid-ranger with a pretty face and a pretty price point, but it lacks the depth I want from a phone even at this level. In its favor, the OnePlus Nord N10 counts a respectable design, a fine display, and better-than-expected cameras. In the con column, the N1o notches average build quality, middling performance, and 5G of questionable value. The biggest problem facing the N10, however, is the single system update. The OnePlus Nord N10 is not a bad phone, but in a world where the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G exist, it’s hard to recommend without serious reservations.
