Preso atto di questi due aspetti - qualora non rappresentassero il classo deal breaker - la proposta di Lenovo è comunque solida e estremamente completa specialmente nella sua variante base da 799 euro. Tanta memoria (non espandibile), supporto Dual SIM, ottimo display AMOLED, audio, vibrazione e autonomia, rendono Legion Phone Duel 2 uno smartphone granitico e affidabile in ogni ambito. A ciò ci aggiungiamo il SoC top di gamma e la miglior dotazione hardware e software per gli appassionati di gaming su Android. Difficile consigliarne l'acquisto per l'utente tradizionale, ma chiunque sia in grado di sfruttare al meglio l'enorme valore aggiunto dato dalla suite gaming del Duel, 2 si troverà tra le mani anche uno smartphone di altissimo livello, a patto di accettare i due punti deboli principali. Il voto finale sarebbe potuto essere più alto, ma l'incognita degli aggiornamenti non può essere considerata un elemento da poco e incide in maniera pesante sulla valutazione finale.

Ma non solo, soluzioni eccezionali come quella della fotocamera popup laterale dimostrano grande dedizione al concetto di gaming phone. C'è qualche limite, ma questo (come lo scorso anno) è uno smartphone per gamer, senza eccezioni.

Le prestazioni sono eccellenti, il display con refresh rate di 144 Hz è ottimo, l'autonomia è buona, non manca una ricarica rapida doppia da ben 90W e il comparto audio non delude le aspettative. Ottimo inoltre il reparto connettività completo di 5G e Wi-Fi 6, così come fa piacere il design ricco di LED e pensato per garantire un'impugnatura più confortevole in orizzontale. Altri punti di forza sono da ricercarsi nell'ottimo pannello in-game e nei pulsanti "soft touch", che sono quattro dorsali e due posteriori. Questi ultimi permettono di essere mappati e fungono come una sorta di controller.

Its landscape-weighted design makes it uniquely suited to extended gaming sessions, as does its dual charging system, and it’s just about as powerful and fluid as they come. It does compromise on a number of everyday concerns in order to attain gaming mastery at an acceptable price, however. This is one of the most unwieldy phones I've ever used, at least in portrait usage, while the camera barely competes with the better mid-priced phones on the market. All in all, the Nubia Redmagic 6S Pro matches or even beats the Lenovo Legion Duel 2 in most of the ways that will count to gamers, with a more compact design and a much lower price. It remains our Best Buy pick for avid gamers, though the Lenovo Legion Duel 2’s ‘go big or go home’ approach makes it well worth considering as a more expansive gaming alternative.

Qualcomm Adreno 660:
Chip grafico per smartphone e tablet integrato nel Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Qualcomm sostiene che è più veloce del 35% rispetto all'Adreno 650 dello Snapdragon 865 SoC e offre un'efficienza energetica migliore del 20%. Per Android dovrebbe essere una delle schede grafiche più veloci nel 2021.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

SD 888 5G:
SoC di fascia alta per smartphone che è stato introdotto alla fine del 2020 e prodotto in 5 nm presso Samsung. Integra un "Prime Core" basato su un'architettura ARM Cortex-X1 con clock fino a 2,84 GHz. Altri tre core di prestazioni sono basati sull'A78 ma con clock fino a 2,42 GHz. Inoltre, sono integrati quattro core a risparmio energetico basati sull'architettura ARM Cortex-A55 con clock fino a 1,8 GHz. Oltre ai core del processore, il SoC integra un modem WiFi 6e, un DSP Hexagon 780 DSP (fino a 26 TOPS di prestazioni AI) e un ISP Spectra 580. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta ora una memoria LPDDR5 più veloce con fino a 3.200 MHz. Il 5G è ora incluso nel chip con il modem Snapdragon X60.
