The Lenovo Yoga 2 13 feels like a big laptop, and not in a bad way -- despite some issues with having to readjust how you type (the right shift key is small) and some snafus with the trackpad (there were some sensitivity issues), the laptop is a solid machine, and is particularly handy because of its various modes, allowing users to prop it up in the best position for any given moment. While it doesn't feel quite as svelte and powerful as some of the other recent machines we've reviewed from Lenovo, the design is very appealing, and the machine holds up well in general usage.

It might be amusing to give the Yoga 2 13 to a friend who wasn't familiar with it and who never opened the lid more than 120 degrees or so—using it as a perfectly fine clamshell laptop, and not realizing the screen can keep going all the way around to tablet mode. Certainly if we didn't know that the Yoga was anything but a very sleek, reasonably fast, eminently portable ultrabook, we'd have no trouble recommending it.

We’ve long been fans of Lenovo’s 360-degree hinge, and it continues to work well: it moves smoothly while retaining the strength to withstand daily use, and it’s easy to switch between the Yoga’s four positions. We love the 360-degree design and the price of the Yoga 2 11, but we're less keen on the sluggish performance, bulkyness and iffy keyboard. It's not a bad hybrid, but it's not our first choice.

Rinascita dell'Atom. Windows RT è ora parte del passato e la versione entry-level della serie Yoga utilizza Bay Trail di Intel e una versione completa di Windows 8.1 64-bit. Più scenari di utilizzo e maggiori prestazioni risultano, però, in una diminuzione dell'autonomia della batteria.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 4400:
GPU ULV integrata (GT2) con 20 EUs che si trova su alcuni processori Haswell.
Intel HD Graphics 4200: Scheda grafica integrata in alcune CPUs ULV Haswell con 20 EUs (GT2)
Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail): GPU Bay Trail SoCs integrata per tablet e notebook. Si basa sulla GPU Ivy Bridge con quattro Execution Units e supporta DirectX 11.
