Moreover, it has upgradable memory via one RAM DIMM and even an M.2 PCIe slot for NVMe SSDs. Of course, if you don’t want to pay a premium price for a notebook you have to settle with some cuts. Usually, manufacturers prefer to substitue the IPS panel with a cheaper TN one. However, here the cost cutting came mostly with the build quality, as there is a little wobble to the base, but still nothing too dramatic.

If you live by this philosophy, than IdeaPad 330s (14″) is a great device for you. It features an outstanding battery life – on average around 9 hours and a half of web browsing and video playback. We should note, though, that this result came with the 52Wh battery, as there is a smaller – 30Wh one, that most definitely would perform a lot worse.

L'IdeaPad 330s-15ARR ottiene buoni risultati con la sua APU Ryzen 5-2500U, l'SSD NVMe veloce e la RAM dual-channel. La sua scarsa e scarsa durata della batteria limita quello che è per il resto un buon computer portatile.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
AMD Vega 3:
Scheda grafica integrata delle APU Ryzen basata sull'architettura Vega con 3 CU (= 192 shader) e un clock fino a 1100 MHz.
AMD Radeon RX 540:
Scheda grafica di fascia media Polaris con 512 shaders (8 unità compute) e una velocità clock massima di 1,219 MHz (secondo AMD). Utilizza il nuovo chip Polaris 12 come la più veloce Radeon RX 550 (non verificato ma dovrebbe essere della stessa velocità) con un processo in 14nm FinFET leggermente migliorato.
AMD Vega 8:
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 610:
GPU integrata (GT1) con 12 EUs che si trova su alcuni modelli di CPU low-end Kaby-Lake (serie 15 W ULV). Con le stesse prestazioni della vecchia HD Graphics 510.

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:
i3-8130U:
SoC dual core basato sull'architettura Kaby-Lake con clock da 2,2 a 3,4 GHz con HyperThreading (4 thread) e una scheda grafica UHD Graphics 620 integrata con clock fino a 1 GHz.
i5-8250U:
Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato sul Kaby-Lake-Refresh. I quattro core hanno un clock tra 1,6 e 3,4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock compreso tra 300 e 1.100 MHz. Il SoC è prodotto con un processo FinFET da 14 nm+.
i5-8550U:
Processore Kaby-Lake-Refresh basato su un processore quad-core low power. I quattro cores hanno un clock tra 1.8 e 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock tra 300 e 1,150 MHz. Il SoC è realizzato in 14nm+ FinFET.
AMD Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APU):
R3 2200U:
APU mobile che integra due cores Zen (con SMT, quindi 4 threads) con clock da 2,5-3,4 GHz. Il TDP è configurabile da 12 a 25 Watt (15 W nominale) e la Radeon RX Vega 3 integrata ha un clock fino a 1000 MHz.
R5 2500U:
APU mobile che integra quattro cores Zen con clock tra 2 e 3.6 GHz. Il TDP è configurabile tra 9 e 25 Watt (15 W nominali) e la Radeon RX Vega 8 integrata ha un clock fino a 1100 MHz.
Intel Kaby Lake:
Pentium 4415U:
Processore Kaby-Lake-based ULV dual-core per portatili sottili e ultrabooks. Rispetto al Core i3-7100H, il 4415U ha un clock più basso (2.3 vs 2.3 GHz), ed offre una quantità di Level 3 cache inferiore oltre ad una GPU più lenta. Entrambi realizzati con lo stesso processo in 14nm.
