Divertimento doppio Il costoso ma ben recepito dal mercato Envy x2 ha spinto HP ad espandere la sua linea x2 anche nei confronti degli utenti più attenti al denaro portando allo Split x2. Questo nuovo modello promette uno schermo da dimensioni maggiori ed un processore più veloce rispetto a quello dell'Envy x2. Basterà?

The HP Split x2 brings novel and useful designs to a broader range of customers, and they've made a solid product. Obviously, even the $850 4th gen Core i5 model won't compete with high end Ultrabooks that have full HD displays and faster U series CPUs, but those cost $1,000 to $1,300 for Core i5 models.

For all its efforts at being a two-in-one device - well, physically at least, it succeeds in being that - it fails to deliver a truly portable tablet device; it’s just too large and heavy and, therefore, confused as to what it's meant to be. It’s bigger than the Envy x2 too and we’re not really sure why. So there we have it. As a laptop there’s some good here - hence the score being fair, it’d be lower if there wasn’t some success in its at-home laptop highs - but as a tablet-laptop device the Split x2 makes even the Surface Pro 2 look like a beanpole.

Tra i due mondi. Il nuovo HP Split x2 non richiede di fare una scelta tra un tablet e un notebook, siccome il convertibile combina entrambi i tipi di dispositivo. Oltre a un display IPS, il convertibile attira l'attenzione con un'ottima autonomia della batteria e buoni dispositivi di input.

HP: Fondata nel 1939, l'azienda statunitense è un importante produttore di server e stampanti e una delle aziende IT leader a livello mondiale. Fino al 2015, la società si chiamava Hewlett-Packard Company. Dopo una scissione, la divisione computer è stata ribattezzata HP Inc.
Nel 2023, HP deteneva una quota di mercato approssimativa del 22% delle vendite globali di PC, diventando così il numero 2 dopo Lenovo.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 4000: Processore grafico high end tra i modelli Ivy Bridge. Offre una differente velocità clock nei diversi modelli di CPU (da ULV a desktop quad core) e di conseguenza con prestazioni variabili.
