There's no other laptop with the size, looks and features of the VivoBook S15 S510 available for the same kind of money right now. This is a full-size notebook with a 15-inch screen and yet a compact footprint and weight of around 3.6 lbs, a notebook that offers a backlit keyboard, matte IPS screen, good IO, fast wireless and modern hardware for around $700-$800 for the best buy configurations. The downsides are the somewhat flimsy plastic main-chassis, the rather small 43 Wh battery and the mediocre webcam, but I reckon many will be able to look past these in the grand scheme of what this VivoBook is, that's why it gets a solid rating in this review and our recommendation. Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. è un importante produttore taiwanese di hardware per computer con sede a Taipei, fondato nel 1989. Con il marchio Asus, l'azienda produce un'ampia gamma di prodotti, tra cui laptop, desktop, schede madri, schede grafiche, monitor, smartphone e apparecchiature di rete , sistemi completi e componenti PC per utenti finali.
Con il marchio ROG (Republic of Gamers), ASUS produce laptop da gioco conosciuti dai giocatori per le loro potenti specifiche, schede grafiche dedicate, display ad alta frequenza di aggiornamento e sistemi di raffreddamento avanzati.
Oltre ai giochi, viene offerta un'ampia gamma di notebook per esigenze e budget diversi, dagli ultrabook ultrasottili e leggeri ai versatili convertibili 2 in 1 e alle opzioni economiche. Nel 2023, Asus deteneva una quota di mercato globale del 7% del mercato dei PC.
La soddisfazione del cliente per i notebook ASUS riguarda le prestazioni, le caratteristiche e il buon rapporto prezzo-prestazioni dei notebook ASUS. GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) che si trova su alcuni modelli di CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX:
Scheda grafica di fascia media per laptop basata sull'architettura Maxwell. Rispetto alla vecchia 940M, la MX ora supporta anche la memoria grafica GDDR5 e dovrebbe avere velocità clock leggermente superiori.
NVIDIA GeForce MX150:
Scheda grafica per laptop basata su Pascal GP108 e versione mobile della GeForce GT 1030. Offre 384 core shader e solitamente 2 GB GDDR5 con un bus di memoria a 64 bit. Realizzata in 14 nm.
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
NVIDIA GeForce MX130:
Scheda grafica di fascia media basata sull'architettura Maxwell. GeForce 940MX rinominata.

SoC Kaby-Lake based con due CPU cores con clock da at 2.7 a 3.5 GHz, HyperThreading e realizzato con un procedimento 14nm migliorato.
Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:
i5-8550U:
Processore Kaby-Lake-Refresh basato su un processore quad-core low power. I quattro cores hanno un clock tra 1.8 e 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock tra 300 e 1,150 MHz. Il SoC è realizzato in 14nm+ FinFET.
i5-8250U:
Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato sul Kaby-Lake-Refresh. I quattro core hanno un clock tra 1,6 e 3,4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock compreso tra 300 e 1.100 MHz. Il SoC è prodotto con un processo FinFET da 14 nm+.
