It is bigger and heavier than your average Chromebook. And the dim, glossy display might make working outdoors a bit of a pain, and cranking up the brightness to battle reflections is going to shorten your battery life. It is nice to see something a little different in the category, though, and the CM5 stands out in more ways than one.

Not many Chromebooks have HDMI ports, obliging you to fuss with a USB-C DisplayPort dongle to connect an external monitor, but the Asus has one. And hardly any Chromebooks have handy Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys—you have to team the menu and Alt keys with the cursor arrows—but the Flip CM5's backlit keyboard includes them. Like all 15.6-inch convertibles, the Asus is too heavy and unwieldy for comfort in tablet mode, but it's a perky, well-equipped, and affordable option for going online and Google Workspace productivity.

EN→ITPriced at $499, the Asus Chromebook CM34 Flip is a fantastic value. Yeah, it’s a bit thick and heavy for a 14-inch convertible, but those are small nags that won’t bother most people. And when you put together all this device offers and the starting price, it’s easy to see its appeal. But multiple times since it launched, it’s been dropped to a ridiculuous $299 – enough times to make it feel kinda normalized. And when it’s on that sort of sale, this Chromebook becomes an absolutely exceptional piece of hardware that – for the money – you’d be hard pressed to find a rival for.

There are several poor aspects to the Asus Chromebook CM14 Flip, but when you consider that this thing is less than $300, it does enough for us to recommend it. If you need a lightweight 2-in-1 Chromebook with a sturdy exterior, a solid keyboard, and battery life that will last a full workday, you’ll be satisfied by this. If you’re in the market for something with a better display, smoother trackpad, clearer webcam, or faster specifications, we recommend looking elsewhere. The Acer Chromebook Spin 714 is more expensive at $699, but we called it our favorite Chromebook of the year thanks to a 1,440p webcam, nearly 13 hours of battery life and superior display. If you’re willing to leave those things on the table, the Asus Chromebook CM14 Flip might be worth it.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
ARM Mali-G52 MP2:
Scheda grafica integrata di fascia media con 2 cluster. ARM dichiara che la serie G52 è il 30% più veloce e il 15% più efficiente rispetto alla serie G51 sullo stesso nodo di processo.

AMD Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000 APU):

APU mobile che integra due core Zen (con SMT, quindi 4 thread) con clock da 1,2 a 2,3 GHz. Il TDP è specificato a 6 Watt e quindi il chip può essere raffreddato passivamente. La scheda grafica Radeon integrata offre 3 CU fino a 600 MHz (Radeon RX Vega 3). Il controller di memoria a canale singolo supporta solo DDR4-1600. Il chip è prodotto in 14 nm ed è ufficialmente annoverato nella serie 3000 di processori mobili. Il 3015Ce è la versione Chromebook della CPU 3015e.
AMD Mendocino (Zen 2, Ryzen 7020):
R3 7320C: APU mobile quad-core che utilizza quattro core Zen 2 con clock da 2,4 a 4,1 GHz e SMT (8 thread). Chromebook versione di Ryzen 5 7320U con specifiche identiche.
