C'è pazio per miglioramenti. Questo modello da 17.3" Lenovo offre un potente processore Intel Kaby Lake, molto spazio di archiviazione e Windows 10 Professional, ma ha dei punti deboli: questo modello ha solo una interfaccia Fast Ethernet, il display ha luminosità e contrasto bassi ed il case e relativamente debole.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Il Lenovo IdeaPad è un portatile da ufficio da 17.3", che punta ad aziende piccole o individuali. Il portatile offre prestazioni sufficienti grazie al processore Kaby Lake. Questo modello non diventa mai caldo o rumoroso in idle. Il portatile monta un HDD da 1 TB, ma per un dispositivo di questa classe, è più importante avere tempi di caricamento bassi piuttosto che spazio. Se volete sostituire l'HDD con un SSD, dovrete aprire tutto il case in quanto manca una cover di manutenzione.

La tastiera di questo portatile non è il massimo, ma è accettabile. Il laptop va bene per un utilizzo stazionario, in quanto l'autonomia, lo schermo e le dimensioni limitano l'utilizzo mobile. Lo schermo di questo 17.3" è scuro e con contrasto scarso inoltre gli angoli di visuale sono limitati. Abbiamo apprezzato la superficie matta.

Lenovo richiede molti soldi per questo portatile, ma non rispecchia le nostre attese.

Al momento del testing, l'IdeaPad è disponibile per 600 - 700 Euro. La licenza Windows 10 Professional del portatile spinge in alto il prezzo, ma si tratta di molti soldi per un portatile da ufficio con molti punti deboli. Questo laptop ha solo una porta Fast Ethernet. La Gigabit Ethernet oggi è uno standard. La garanzia è limitata ad un solo anno, ma il prezzo di acquisto dovrebbe almeno garantire 2 anni. La ventola è fastidiosa con il suo rumore. Infine, il case in alcuni punti è troppo debole.

Nella categoria 17.3", l'Acer Aspire E5-774 è una opzione migliore. Il dispositivo ha uno schermo FHD migliore, una autonomia superiore e due anni di garanzia. L'acquirente deve aggiungere il prezzo della licenza Windows al prezzo di acquisto di 550 Euro.

A breve, lanceremo la recensione del modello gemello, l'IdeaPad 110-17IKB. Questo modello offrirà una GPU dedicata Radeon R5 M430.
