Il successore del Vostro. Dell introduce una nuova linea di laptop con la serie Latitude 3000. Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di mettere le mani sul Latitude 3540 da 15.6 pollici. Un processore ULV Haswell, oltre a un display opaco Full HD, sono stati inseriti per attrarre sia gli utenti domestici, che i professionisti. Il nostro test potrà dire se l'ultima serie di notebook Dell rappresenta un passo avanti rispetto ai predecessori.

Display scarso, GPU inefficiente. E' il Latitude 15" meno costoso disponibile e quindi i tagli erano previsti. Il numero di inconvenienti, tuttavia, può essere un po' troppo da sopportare. Scopri cosa si sacrificherebbe acquistando il Latitude 3590 invece del più costoso Latitude 5590.

Dell ha introdotto sul mercato la sua più recente versione della serie 3000 per ufficio e business, e aggiunge alcune nuove problematiche ai già noti punti deboli di questa gamma. Non solo lo schermo è un problema con quest'ultima versione, e non va bene nemmeno per un computer portatile da 400 euro (~$456), ma anche altri problemi di natura tecnica. A parte questo, ha un'ottima durata della batteria.

While it is free of Thunderbolt connectivity, there are plenty of useful connectors, like the RJ-45 one, a Type-C that can output a DisplayPort and an SD card reader. When this is combined with the PCIe x4 NVMe slot on the inside, the Latitude 3500 becomes a pretty strong machine.

EN→ITSo who is this laptop aimed at? Is it the business person that needs a secure laptop, or is it for companies, that are going to buy it in bulk? Well, we feel like it is the latter. And this is because of one thing in particular. While its simplistic design is visually appealing, the build quality is just not there. The base cracks and squeaks every time you twist it, which is definitely not a sign of attention to detail and structural rigidity. Dell Latitude 15 3520’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a good contrast ratio. Unfortunately, it covers only 53% of the sRGB color gamut, and it uses relatively low-frequency PWM up to 89 nits. Thankfully, the more sensitive users can take advantage of our Health-Guard profile, which completely eliminates the issue. Apart from that, there are some pretty sweet features like the wide I/O, which may not include a Thunderbolt 4 connection, but offers a USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2×2). This provides a 20Gbps speed, which is twice as fast as the USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port.

Dell offre laptop adatti a varie applicazioni, come laptop aziendali, laptop da gioco, ultra portatili e workstation. I laptop aziendali Dell delle serie Latitude e Precision sono un'opzione per utenti professionali e aziende.

Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
AMD Radeon 530:
Scheda grafica dedicata entry-level con 320 o 384 shaders (in base al chip usato) e memoria grafica DDR3 o GDDR5 (entrambe con bus da 64 Bit). Entrambi i chips sono stati usati da qualche anno, es. anche a partire dalla Radeon 8590M (28nm GCN).
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs:
Scheda grafica integrata nei SoC Intel Tiger Lake G7 basati sulla nuova architettura Gen. 12 con 80 EU (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). La frequenza di clock dipende dal modello di processore. I chip Tiger Lake sono prodotti nel moderno processo 10nm+ di Intel.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel HD Graphics 5500:
Scheda grafica integrata (GT2) nei processori Core della Broadwell U-series (15 W TDP).

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:
i5-8250U:
Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato sul Kaby-Lake-Refresh. I quattro core hanno un clock tra 1,6 e 3,4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock compreso tra 300 e 1.100 MHz. Il SoC è prodotto con un processo FinFET da 14 nm+.
i5-8550U:
Processore Kaby-Lake-Refresh basato su un processore quad-core low power. I quattro cores hanno un clock tra 1.8 e 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock tra 300 e 1,150 MHz. Il SoC è realizzato in 14nm+ FinFET.
Intel Comet Lake:
i3-10110U: Processore dual-core a bassa potenza basato su Comet Lake (tecnicamente identico a Whiskey Lake e ancora prodotto in 14nm++). I core della CPU possono clockare tra 2,1 e 4,1 GHz (tutti e 4 i core a 3,7 GHz max.) con HyperThreading (4 thread). Il controller di memoria integrato supporta DDR4-2666 e utilizzando cTDP su/giù le prestazioni possono essere regolate dall'OEM (10 - 25 Watt possibili, 15W di default). La scheda grafica integrata clock da 300 - 1000 MHz e offre solo 23 invece di 24 CU.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i5-1135G7:
Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato su Tiger Lake per computer portatili sottili e leggeri. Prodotto in un processore migliorato a 10nm presso Intel.
Intel Alder Lake-M:
i5-1235U:
Un processore mobile basato su Alder-Lake con 2 core ad alte prestazioni e 8 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper-threading, che consente l'elaborazione di 12 thread. La CPU funziona a frequenze comprese tra 0,9 e 4,4 GHz. Il TDP è di 15 Watt.
