Vivo X Fold è al momento l’unico dispositivo da prendere in considerazione se le priorità sono quelle di possedere un moderno foldable che possa essere anche un camera phone. il prezzo richiesto è in Europa di circa 1500 Euro per la versione 12/256 Gb che reputiamo ampiamente giustificato dagli altissimi contenuti tecnologici presenti. Primo tra tutti il display interno, LTPO e con la piega impercettibile, che viene “azionato” da una cerniera che risulta essere un ingegnoso e sofisticato sistema, certificato dal prestigioso TUV Rheinland come affidabile. Il processore utilizzato è il top di casa Qualcomm, con a supporto un ottimo quantitativo di velocissime memorie Ram e Rom. Inoltre il comparto cam è il medesimo utilizzato sul camera phone X80 Pro, curato in tutte le specifiche grazie alla collaborazione con Zeiss. Pecca invece in peso e dimensioni e in un software che seppur buono non presenta funzionalità specifiche che possano sfruttare il display interno a dovere. È un vero e proprio concentrato di potenza e tecnologia capace di essere elegante, affidabile, potente e con un comparto cam degno di essere definito da riferimento, il migliore in assoluto presente in qualsiasi foldable attualmente in commercio.

While it proved to be an outstanding device for recording —thanks to the sheer wideness of its stereo recordings — playback results were just above average, leaving the testers wanting more, considering the X Fold’s dimensions and price point. In audio playback, our experts were satisfied with a deep low-end rendition complimenting an experience that was as equally pleasant in music listening as it was in movie-watching or gaming. However, the tonal balance was inconsistent depending on content and volume, and while the stereo wideness was perfectly good, one could have hoped for even better. The X Fold truly shone in recording, and while it was best with the main camera, results were good with the front camera and memo app as well. It's by far one of the best foldables we've used as it stands out with exceptional displays (even the internal screen has a smaller-than-usual crease), great battery life, nice hinge design and not one but two ultrasonic fingerprint readers that work flawlessly. We find that last bit a huge advantage over the current side-mounted readers in today's foldables. The overall camera experience isn't bad either. It's not ideal, but it's mostly on par with what the competition offers. We would have liked a better selfie and further zoom reach (3x at least), but otherwise, the quality is solid during the day and at night. We also wished for a better stereo speaker setup, although we understand that not everyone would mind the speakers as they are.

So that was the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. It is the most refined foldable that I have used so far. It is easy to hold and grip, it has a brilliant display both inside and out, and it is very powerful at the same time. Couple of things that I didn’t like in terms of performance and how the phone functions are firstly, I don’t like the whole look and feel of Vivo’s FunTouch OS (that is my personal preference, I’m sure many users prefer this) and secondly, I found the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro heats up often. Apart from that, we are getting an extremely sleek and refined foldable experience. Add to that one of the great camera setups out there and we have a winner.
