Samsung Galaxy Note 20 è in vendita dal 21 di agosto al prezzo di 979 Euro, decisamente troppo alto per ciò che offre sulla carta e sull’esperienza d’uso. A distanza di oltre 2 mesi dalla disponibilità però, è facilmente reperibile in offerta tra i 700 e i 760 Euro, cifra molto più ragionevole per un recente Samsung Galaxy Note con S-Pen, soprattutto considerando che i modelli dello scorso anno, invece, sono calati davvero pochissimo di prezzo, di fatto rendendo poco conveniente puntare ancora su di loro (anche alla luce del supporto software che durerà solo ancora 1 anno).

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 è uno smartphone solido, ma con qualche pecca. Partendo dai suoi punti di forza, il dispositivo presenta un ottimo display, buone prestazioni, comparto fotografico di elevata caratura, completo reparto connettività (ci sono, ad esempio, 5G, nell'apposita variante, e USB Type-C 3.1, manca però il jack audio), ottime funzionalità software, buone possibilità offerte dalla S Pen e solidità costruttiva che non delude le aspettative. Passando, invece, agli aspetti che non ci hanno convinto, troviamo un refresh rate dello schermo solamente standard (60 Hz), un'autonomia non all'altezza di altre soluzioni presenti sul mercato e una scocca posteriore in plastica. In definitiva, la "variante base" del top di gamma di Samsung è un ottimo prodotto e può fare gola a chi non se la sente di superare i 1000 euro (questo modello ha un prezzo di listino di 979 euro nella variante 4G, ma online si trova già a meno anche per quanto riguarda il modello 5G).

Note 20 costa circa 840 euro su Amazon in versione 4G e forse ha senso, se si vuole prendere Note 20, risparmiare al massimo e prendere la versione 4G. Nell’uso quotidiano io mi sono trovato meglio con Note 20 rispetto al fratello maggiore Ultra, vuoi il display piatto, vuoi la leggerezza l’ho trovato più comodo. L’unica cosa che mi ha dato fastidio è la mancanza dei 120hz ma il resto delle funzionalità leggermente inferiori alla versione Ultra sono cose che secondo me nella quotidianità non pesano così tanto come invece pesano gli euro di differenza e la differente ergonomia. Ovvio che per chi vuole tutto al top, Note 20 Ultra rimane un’ottima scelta.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 è un buon telefono. Ci sono però molte rinunce rispetto al modello della fascia superiore e fra tutte la scocca in plastica e lo schermo a 60Hz pesano più di altre. Non ci sarebbe niente di male se non fosse che il prezzo è però sproporzionato. Solo delle buone offerte potranno rendere Note 20 davvero interessante.

Tenete presente che Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus in versione 4G è un prodotto globalmente superiore (senza S-Pen) che vi consigliamo, in alternativa rimane valida la scelta di Note 10 Plus del 2019 che nonostante un anno sulle spalle rimane validissimo per risparmiare qualcosa e senza dover rinunciare al pennino, o ancora Note 10 Lite, più recente e di fascia inferiore ma non così lontano nell'esperienza d'uso quotidiana.

This is still a $1000 phone, but it comes with a plastic back and 60hz 1080p screen, and misses out on the biggest improvements in the Ultra, namely an ultra-low latency S-Pen, expandable storage, and wide-band radio. Worse is that the Galaxy S20+ 5G is now routinely available for between $600-800 from carriers. So if you're unwilling or unable to pay the $1300 the Note 20 Ultra will cost, you need to ask yourself, is having the S-pen worth $300 to you? If not, the Note 20 is hard to justify.
