The Oppo Reno10 Pro+ 5G is a good phone that’s also a little strange. It excels in raw power, imaging quality, and battery life. But, has no water resistance assurances, wireless charging, or decent external speakers, all penalising what it could have truly been --- especially for the price it commands. It also has a strange display resolution that’s neither helping nor hurting its value proposition. In a way, it’s like an Oppo-branded “budget flagship” or "flagship-lite" device where the brand eschews what it thinks are non-essential components in favour of a price tag lower than its Find X series (typically prices above S$1.5k). Oppo isn’t wrong, since most people care about the phone’s operating system, the ability to shoot pretty pictures, and deliver on performance where it counts.

The Reno series has always been relegated to the premium mid-range segment and the Reno10 Pro+ embodies that promise. In many aspects, it looks, feels and performs like a proper flagship device. Premium design and build, excellent performance, generous memory and storage options, fast charging and flagship level camera system. There might be a few missing items in our checklist — water resistance (ingress protection) or wireless charging. Everything else seemed spot on for its category. However, with a matching price tag of Php39,990, it might be a bit of an ask considering that the 6-month old OnePlus 11 5G (now at Php43k for the 8GB+128GB) is well within the vicinity in terms of specs and price. For Globe postpaid subscribers, you can get the Reno 10 Pro+ 5G on GPlan 2499 with a Php7,000 cash out. It’s also available at 0% installment plans on Home Credit and all credit cards.

The OPPO Reno10 Pro+ is about R2k more expensive than its predecessor at R21 999 (depending on the retailer). Do you get more value or performance on the Reno10 Pro+? The short answer is yes, with better specs across the board, but that is to be expected of a new iteration. The problem that the Reno10 Pro+ finds itself with is that at R21 999, it is in the same price bracket as the Samsung Galaxy S23. While that phone was launched earlier in the year, this new device is still not on par with its specifications or performance. As such, while OPPO’s new flagship phone is a great all-around performer, there are still better options in the same price bracket. If this phone was coming in closer to the R19k or even R18k price point, perhaps it would be a savvier pick up. For now though, it finds itself up against a fairly well stacked Android flagship market.

However, the price of Rs 54,999 sounds too high, considering its immediate rival Pixel 7 is also available at a lower price. Overall, if you are looking for a good camera-focused Oppo phone, I would recommend you buy the Reno 10 Pro+ during the sale events that take place every now or then on e-commerce platforms like Flipkart because it will be available at a discounted price.

There's also the iQoo 11 5G (Review) which packs hardware that's similar to the OnePlus 11, and although it lacks the rather flexible camera of the 11 5G and the Reno 10 Pro+ 5G, it does gets 120W wired fast charging, which is pretty much unmatched in this segment (and beyond).

The natural bokeh and crisp details make for some social-media-worthy shots, however, the camera system is not perfect. The portrait lens could use some tuning when it comes to skin tone colour and edge detection. Similarly, the primary lens could use some work on dynamic range; and the ultrawide camera needs a complete overhaul. However, it is a valiant attempt from the company. OPPO has truly managed to deliver a competitive portrait experience for a fraction of the price of competing flagship phones.

So, after going through all that – I just want to say one thing. This phone is very, very similar to the OnePlus Nord 3 5G that we reviewed yesterday. You can check it out here. I think both these phones share a lot of similarities including the IR blaster, but the biggest difference is the chipset. One is using the MediaTek Dimensity 9000, and another is using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Both these phones are created with the same idea in mind – bringing some of the flagship experience from last year and repackaged it as a mid-range smartphone. I like this approach a lot, but I’m not sure about the price, honestly. At RM3,499 – I can only say yeowzers.

Il Reno10 , è un buon prodotto di fascia medio alta, ma con un prezzo decisamente troppo alto; il Mediatek Dimensity 7050, fa ampiamente il suo lavoro con zero impuntamenti e differenze davvero minime rispetto allo Snapdragon 778G presente sul Reno 10 Pro software e il comparto fotografico nella media, con la doppia cam ad alta risoluzione, presente inoltre il display da 120 Hz. E’ possibile trovare l’OPPO Reno10, su Amazon, e sul sito del produttore al prezzo di 499.99 euro.

L’OPPO Reno 10 5G si distingue come uno smartphone di fascia media elegante e premium che impressiona con la sua serie di funzionalità accattivanti. Dal suo display AMOLED al design elegante, senza dimenticare la batteria da 5000mAh questo dispositivo soddisfa molte esigenze degli acquirenti potenziali. Stranamente per alcuni aspetti è addirittura preferibile alla variante Pro come per la presenza dell’audio stereo. Stiamo ovviamente parlando di un telefono complessivamente meno prestante del Reno 10 5G Pro ma che comunque si difende molto bene. A livello di difetti non abbiamo rilevato vere mancanze, anzi Reno 10 5G si è dimostrato uno smartphone ben equilibrato per l’utilizzo di tutti i giorni ed è sicuramente uno dei pochi medi-gamma di questo 2023 che terrei veramente in considerazione. Gli si potrebbe recriminare solo una bassa luminosità e una certificazione per la protezione da acqua e polvere ma capite bene che non sono aspetti vitali o che interessano a tutti.

E provando ora il Reno 10 5G, fratello minore del Pro, ci siamo resi conto che forse è passato un po’ inosservato ma ha molto da offrire. A iniziare dal fatto che il “pacchetto” hardware proposto dal brand consente di avere una reattività adeguata con tutte le app più utilizzate, un display che non ha nulla da invidiare al Pro e la medesima fotocamera specializzata nei ritratti da 47 mm con sensore Sony Imx709. Costa un po’ meno: 499,99 euro sull’Oppo Store, corredato da un bundle interessante.

OPPO Reno10 utilizza un vestito premium intorno a un hardware tipico della fascia media, candidandosi come il modello più conveniente della nuova serie midrange del produttore. L'esperienza d'uso è molto simile a quella del Pro, ma il prezzo di listino risulta decisamente più appetibile: si perde qualcosina in fatto di prestazioni ed esperienza fotografica, guadagnando letteralmente 150€. Rispetto alla proposta top della famiglia implementa un processore Mediatek solo leggermente meno potente e che di fatto mostra qualche incertezza in più quando serve maggiore reattività nel sistema, ma le differenze non sono di certo così eclatanti.

Oppo continua a fare bene con la linea Reno. Questo smartphone ha uno stile interessante, prestazioni all’altezza e fotografie niente male. Con un ottimo schermo e un mix di batteria e ricarica davvero al top. Il problema non è Oppo Reno 10 5G, il problema è la concorrenza. Ci sono alcuni utenti (content creator, professionisti in perenne movimento) per cui ha senso spendere oltre mille euro per uno smartphone. Ma per l’utente medio, attorno ai 500-600 ci sono le migliori alternative e nell’ultimo anno abbiamo visto diversi prodotti davvero ottimi sotto i 500 euro. Il design e lo schermo premium aiutano Reno 10 a distinguersi – se per voi sono valori importanti, è consigliato. Ma ci sono smartphone che offrono prestazioni migliori (con software più “puliti”). The triple lens setup offers good picture quality, with the 1x lens producing fine results, and the 2x “telephoto” option also doing very well too. The ultrawide isn’t the best on the market, but it’s not too bad either. Video isn’t very impressive, but if you’re only grabbing the odd clip, it’s likely to be good enough for what you need. There are some things missing here – not a surprise considering the price – such as raw format shooting, macro focusing and a higher resolution screen – but if you can live without those things, then it’s a good buy.

If you’re trying to get the most performance for the least money, Oppo’s Reno 10 5G is not going to be the one for you. In that circumstance, I recommend the Xiaomi 12T, where you’re getting a massive leap in performance for the same price. Alternatively, Google’s Pixel 7a isn’t much more expensive and offers better performance than the Reno 10 5G, as well as a clean Android installation and a terrific suite of cameras. Of course, the Pixel 7a doesn’t have a telephoto lens, and it’s here that the Reno 10 5G really finds its niche. Optical zooms are as rare as fairy dust in this price range, and the Reno 10 manages to include a decent sensor with very few corners cut. Add in the extensive battery life and the near-flawless display, and there’s just enough here to make up for the flagging performance. If you care more about a robust camera array than speedy processing, the Oppo Reno 10 5G could well be for you.

C’è una cosa che ci tengo a dire: specifiche alla mano Oppo Reno 10 Pro non sorprende, non più di altri dispositivi Oppo della medesima fascia, però l’utilizzo nella vita vera è un’altra cosa. Fin da subito. Appena lo togliete dalla scatola avete la sensazione di avere tra le mani un prodotto davvero premium. E poi è comodo nell’uso quotidiano, fa tutto quello che gli chiedete e ha un comparto fotografico sicuramente interessante oltreché piuttosto variegato.

Il nostro entusiasmo scende drasticamente quando invece parliamo di design, perché OPPO Reno10 Pro è un deciso passo indietro, per il nostro gusto, rispetto al modello precedente venduto in Italia OPPO Reno8 Pro. Nel complesso, però, troviamo che in OPPO Reno10 Pro ci sia un buon rapporto tra prezzo e qualità, anche se questo smartphone deve fare i conti con un temibilissimo concorrente, Honor 90, superiore in quasi tutti i suoi dettagli, con un prezzo molto più competitivo.che

Oppo Reno 10 Pro è uno smartphone privo di enormi difetti, ma che nemmeno può contare su elementi di grande spicco nella sua offerta. Certo, si fa apprezzare l'impianto fotografico così come il design e la qualità costruttiva, ma di converso l'uso di un SoC non attuale, alcuni passi falsi nella scheda tecnica e un prezzo di listino troppo alto rendono questo telefono incapace di emergere, subendo la spietata concorrenza della fascia media a cui appartiene. Senza dubbio offerte e sconti potranno mettere maggiormente a fuoco la proposta di Oppo, ma confidiamo che per il successore - sicuramente lontano solo pochi mesi visti i precedenti - la casa cinese voglia impegnarsi un po' di più. Anche se forse sarebbe il caso di rallentare questi cicli di vita diventati davvero troppo ridotti e poco sensati.

Uno smartphone completo, compatto (nel senso di spessore laterale) e ricco di virtù. Il ritratto è il suo ambito fotografico d'elezione ma non si scompone nemmeno nella foto a tutto tondo, anzi. Oppo sceglie un connubio tra hardware e software capace di valorizzare la batteria da 4.600 mAh che, in abbinata con la carica veloce a 80 Watt, riesce a garantire una durata sempre ideale. Il display è eccellente, al pari della serie Find X5. Il risultato è uno smartphone completo e con tante sorprese positive.

Se dunque siete interessati anche agli altri prodotti la promozione è allettante, altrimenti il prezzo dello smartphone è indubbiamente ostile in un mercato pieno di alternative (anche in casa OPPO come OPPO Find X5 che ormai è stato ricollocato a 599 euro). Oppo sceglie un connubio tra hardware e software capace di valorizzare la batteria da 4.600 mAh che, in abbinata con la carica veloce a 80 Watt, riesce a garantire una durata sempre ideale. Il display è eccellente, al pari della serie Find X5. Il risultato è uno smartphone completo e con tante sorprese positive.

Vorrei però fare una precisazione: è vero che rispetto all’anno scorso il listino è stato decisamente ridimensionato, ma lo è pure la scheda tecnica, quindi non parlerei di questo Reno 10 Pro come di un best buy quanto piuttosto di un prodotto onesto venduto ad un prezzo (tenendo conto del bundle) tutto sommato in linea con la concorrenza al netto delle rinunce che purtroppo ci sono e di cui vi abbiamo parlato in questa recensione. Se però siete maniaci di selfie e ritratti, dategli una possibilità.

Nonostante questo il prezzo è molto più basso del suo predecessore, infatti Reno 8 Pro al lancio aveva un costo di 100-150€ superiore. Siamo scesi a compromessi, soprattutto sul design, ma ne abbiamo guadagnato in termini di scheda tecnica con un dispositivo più bilanciato in ogni aspetto e affidabile, senza nessuna vera criticità che non ne potrebbero raccomandare l’acquisto. Senza dubbio appena scenderà di prezzo sarà un best buy da raccomandare ad occhi chiusi, per ora è raccomandato a chi cerca un ottimo comparto fotografico, soprattutto per i ritratti e selfie, in un dispositivo compatto, ben bilanciato e con ricarica da 80W. La fascia media torna a ruggire con OPPO Reno10 Pro, uno smartphone che sul piano della pura esperienza di utilizzo può infastidire molti top di gamma della stessa generazione. Al lancio, però, viene proposto a 585,00€ con un corposo bundle, e a questo prezzo può essere un acquisto da fare a occhi chiusi soprattutto per gli amanti della mobile photography. Fa storcere il naso la scelta di integrare il processore Snapdragon 778G, ma probabilmente l'azienda è dovuta scendere a compromessi per non spostare troppo in là i costi di produzione. Si tratta di un SoC che offre prestazioni più che adeguate per la stragrande maggioranza degli utenti e delle attività, con Reno10 Pro che risulta in tutte le circostanze quotidiane uno smartphone estremamente gradevole e fluido da utilizzare.

Overall ergonomics have improved over the past with a slimmer profile and lighter weight. At the level of photo capabilities, OPPO has made a big step forward from the past. Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

Qualcomm Adreno 730:

Chip grafico per smartphone e tablet integrato nel SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Qualcomm sostiene che è il 30% più veloce dell'Adreno 660 nel SoC Snapdragon 888. Per Android dovrebbe essere una delle schede grafiche più veloci alla fine del 2021.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

Qualcomm Adreno 642L:

Qualcomm Snapdragon:

SD 8+ Gen 1:

SoC di fascia alta per smartphone introdotto alla fine del 2021 e prodotto in 4 nm presso TSMC. Integra un "Prime Core" basato su architettura ARM Cortex-X2 con clock fino a 3,2 GHz. Altri tre core ad alte prestazioni sono basati sull'A710 ma con clock fino a 2,5 GHz. Inoltre, sono integrati quattro core a risparmio energetico basati sull'architettura ARM Cortex-A510 con clock fino a 1,8 GHz. Oltre ai core del processore, il SoC integra un modem WiFi 6e, un DSP Hexagon (per l'accelerazione AI) e un ISP Spectra. Il controller di memoria integrato supporta la memoria LPDDR5 veloce fino a 3.200 MHz. Il 5G è ora incluso nel chip con il modem Snapdragon X65. Rispetto alla versione non plus, l'8+ Gen 1 offre un Prime Core con clock superiore di 200 MHz e una GPU con clock superiore del 10%. Inoltre, ora è prodotto da TSMC e non da Samsung.

SD 778G 5G:

Veloce SoC ARM di fascia media con 8 core CPU Kryo 670 (quattro core ARM Cortex-A78 veloci fino a 2,4 GHz e quattro piccoli core ARM Cortex-A55 fino a 1,8 GHz) e un modem X53 5G integrato (fino a 3300 Mbps in download). Il SoC è prodotto nel moderno processo a 6 nm di TSMC.
