Nonostante l'hardware del segmento gaming entry-level, non dovete preoccuparvi delle prestazioni. Il Legion 5 gestisce tutti gli attuali giochi per computer senza problemi sullo schermo opaco (Full-HD, IPS). Il punto culminante del portatile è l'eccezionale durata della batteria.

EN→ITOverall I’m OK with this 17-inch Legion 5. It’s just as good as the 15-inch model I reviewed recently, except it has an SD card reader. It is bigger and heavier though, so you’ll have to put up with extra heft if you want the 17-inch screen. The value is there, especially with the RTX 3060 models which are competitively priced, and you get good construction with a decent keyboard and trackpad, lots of IO, and excellent performance, thermals, and noise levels. The audio is still lacking, though, and I wish Lenovo offered a QHD screen option for this series.

EN→ITA day of testing the Legion 5i (17″ Intel, 2021) is a day well spent. This laptop is super snappy and has the performance to conquer pretty much every AAA title. In our experience, you don’t even need to use the overclocking function. Firstly, because the 130W RTX 3060 works at quite high clocks at default, and secondly because the laptop (at least our unit) is not able to maintain the max OC available through the BIOS setting. Nevertheless, it is one of the best performing Core i7-11800H laptops we’ve tested. That’s great because this CPU is probably the best mobile chip for gaming (and creative work). Lenovo Legion 5i (17″ Intel, 2021)’s 144Hz IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio. In addition, it covers 95% of the sRGB color gamut, and our Gaming and Web design profile helps it reach a standard-matching color accuracy.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile:
Scheda grafica dedicata di fascia media per computer portatili basata sulla GTX 1650 desktop e quindi sull'architettura Turing (chip TU117 in 12nm FFN) senza raytracing e Tensor cores.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU: Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip Ampere GA106 con 3072 core. Disponibile in diverse versioni con un TDP da 60 a 115 Watt.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU:
Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre. I giochi moderni come Age of Conan, Race Driver Grid, Call of Duty 4, Mass Effect, o Gothic 3 dovrebbero scorrere in modo fluido con dettagli elevati (Crysis dovrebbe funzionare con dettagli medio alti).
NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070:
Scheda grafica desktop di fascia alta basata sull'architettura Ampere. Offre 5.888 shader e 8 GB di memoria grafica GDDR6.

i5-10300H:
Su architettura Comet Lake (4a generazione di Skylake) basato su processore per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra quattro core di processore con clock a 2,5 - 4,5 GHz (4,2 GHz con 4 core) che supportano HyperThreading.
AMD Cezanne (Zen 3, Ryzen 5000):
R7 5800H:
APU Octa-Core mobile che utilizza core Zen 3 con clock da 3,2 a 4,4 GHz e una scheda grafica Vega con 8 CU con clock fino a 2000 MHz.
R5 5600H:
Una APU Hexa-Core mobile con sei core Zen 3 con clock da 3,3 GHz a 4,2 GHz e una iGPU Vega con 7 CU con clock fino a 1800 MHz.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i5-11400H:
Tiger Lake (serie H45) basato su SoC hexa-core di fascia alta per computer portatili da gioco e workstation. I sei core della CPU hanno un clock di 2.7 - 4.5 GHz. La GPU UHD Graphics integrata offre 32 core fino a 1,45 GHz. Il chip è prodotto con il processo SuperFin (migliorato a 10nm).
i7-11800H:
SoC octa-core di fascia alta basato su Tiger Lake (serie H45) per computer portatili da gioco e workstation. Gli otto core della CPU funzionano da 2,3 GHz a 4,6 GHz.
