By the way, we have to note that some corners were cut with the build quality of the base, as it bends when you press it slightly harder than usual. In addition to that, we think Photographers will be happy with the port selection, while on the screen, we need a couple of days to get results from our lab. Stay tuned!

It looks somewhat similar to the Acer Swift 3 in a way and is perhaps more suitable of a contender to the ASUS VivoBook S15 S530 than the Ideapad L340 (15″). Additionally, we would like to advise you to go for the IPS version of the display of this device, rather than the TN one.

EN→IT Archive.org versionThe Lenovo IdeaPad S340 is practically last year's IdeaPad 330S with a few key upgrades: improved aesthetics (including a slimmer frame), that nifty little privacy shutter for the webcam, and extended battery life. Lenovo could have used this opportunity to throw in a brighter, more colourful Full HD IPS LCD panel as well. Unfortunately for us, our review unit was fitted with a hard drive (even though all of the variants on Lenovo's official website get a solid-state drive), which killed its performance across benchmark and everyday tests. I'm confident that the same laptop with Lenovo's PCIe NVMe solid-state drive offering would have done a lot better on the performance front.

Swap in an IPS display for the TN panel (which you can do fairly cheaply, if you pick the next step-up model), and you’re most likely looking at an impressive value.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
NVIDIA GeForce MX230:
Scheda grafica entry-level basata su Pascal (GP108) con memoria grafica GDDR5. Adatta solo per giochi meno impegnativi.
NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Successore dell'MX150 e ancora basata sullo stesso chip Pascal GP108 (simile alla desktop GT 1030) ma con velocit‡ di clock pi˘ elevate. Disponibile in due versioni, una versione normale da 25 Watt e una versione a bassa potenza con TDP da 10 Watt e prestazioni ridotte. La versione da 25 Watt, ad esempio, offre un clock boost del 21% in pi˘ rispetto alla vecchia MX150, con un guadagno di prestazioni del 5%.
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
Intel UHD Graphics G1 (Ice Lake 32 EU):

AMD Vega 3:
Scheda grafica integrata delle APU Ryzen basata sull'architettura Vega con 3 CU (= 192 shader) e un clock fino a 1100 MHz.
La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
Intel UHD Graphics 610:
GPU integrata (GT1) con 12 EU che si trovano su alcune CPU Pentium Gold di fascia bassa (ad esempio la serie ULV 15 W basata su Whisky-Lake). Stesse prestazioni delle vecchie HD Graphics 610 e 510.

Intel Core i7:
i7-8565U: Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato su Whiskey Lake (tecnicamente identico al Kaby Lake ma prodotto in un processore a 14nm++ ulteriormente migliorato). I quattro core sono clockati tra 1,8 e 4,6 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano HyperThreading.

Intel Pentium:
Pentium 5405U: Processore ULV dual-core basato su Whiskey-Lake-based per notebook sottili e ultrabook. Integra due core di CPU con clock a 2,3 GHz (senza Turbo Boost) e un processore Intel HD Graphics 610 con clock fino a 950 MHz.
Intel Ice Lake:
i3-1005G1: Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato su Ice-Lake per computer portatili sottili e leggeri. Integrato due core Sunnycove con clock a 1,2 - 3,4 GHz che supportano l'Hyperthreading (4 thread). Inoltre, il SoC integra una scheda grafica UHD Graphics G1 entry level e Wifi 6 / Thunderbolt parzialmente integrati. Il chip è prodotto nel moderno processo a 10nm alla Intel.
AMD Picasso (Ryzen 3000 APU):
R3 3200U: APU mobile Dual-Core che utilizza due core Zen+ con clock da 2,6 a 3,5 GHz (con SMT, ovvero 4 Threads) e una scheda grafica Vega con 3 CU con clock fino a 1200 MHz.

Questo è il tipico peso dei tablets molto grandi, subnotebooks, ultrabooks e convertibili con diagonale del display da 11-13”.
