Performance is good with the main camera and fingerprint sensors being the highlights on the hardware side. Emotion UI isn't our favourite Android skin but it's perfectly usable and you can always change it if you like.

If you have a budget of Rs. 25,000 and are looking for a smartphone, then the Honor 7 can definitely be at the top of your list.

The Moto X Play, for example, costs about the same, all while delivering great battery life and running a near-stock, bloat-free version of Android. There’s also the Asus ZenFone 2, which may be a bit plasticky, but it delivers smooth performance and costs considerably less. If you don’t mind spending a few extra bucks, there’s also the LG G4 with its fast processor, QHD display, and very capable camera.

Given that I only had a day to try out the Honor 7, making this more of a ‘preview’ than a ‘review’, I can’t evaluate battery life. However, there’s a meaty 3100 mAh cell inside, and Honor says it supports ‘Fast charging’. Which may or may not be the same as Qualcomm’s standard, we’ll need retail hardware and chargers to check that. I was also impressed by how cool the Honor 7 stayed, given the octacore chipset and the issues the high end Snapdragons have been having. All that metal helps and, apparently, there’s special heat dissipation engineering inside.

So there you have it for this in-depth look at the Huawei Honor 7! Overall, the Honor 7 is a really good phone, with its beautiful display, impressive battery life, a fantastic fingerprint scanner, and good camera. Performance is smooth and snappy for the most part, save for the most graphically-intensive of games, and while the Huawei’s take on Android can take some getting used to, the slew of shortcuts and gestures available enable a good experience. There are some really good options available out there in this price range though, such as the top version of the ASUS Zenfone 2, the Axon Phone by ZTE, and the Moto X Play, which you might want to consider instead.

Honor riesce ancora una volta a stupire sia nel prezzo che nelle prestazioni, portandomi a consigliare il suo 7X senza riserve ad un pubblico ampio, che va dal ragazzo di 15 anni sino al signore attempato di 90 anni.

Honor 7X è una proposta decisamente allettante per coloro che cercano un dispositivo prestante ad un prezzo contenuto. Con 299 euro, che in realtà diventano circa 249 euro fino al 24 dicembre, l’utente porta a casa un dispositivo che possiede tutto quello che si può chiedere alla fascia media. Un ottimo display 18:9, un comparto multimediale di buona qualità, un’esperienza fluida e un'ottima autonomia sono il fiore all’occhiello di questo 7X. È veramente difficile trovare un punto debole a questo dispositivo, se non piccolissime sbavature come il Wi-Fi monobanda, la Micro USB standard e la ricarica piuttosto lenta. Insomma, Honor 7X ci ha decisamente convinto e non vediamo l’ora di scoprire cosa ha in serbo per il futuro il brand cinese.

It loses out to the Mi A1 as far as the camera is concerned and graphically heavy games like Asphalt 8 stutter on the device. You can consider it if you aren’t a heavy smartphone user and like reading content or watching movies on the go, as the display on the smartphone is indeed good. But if the camera is something you are finicky about and aren't a fan of skinned OSes, then you may want to consider your options.

OEMs should realise that running a full-fledged version of Android (that too with a customised skin on top) with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage isn’t a pleasurable experience. Perhaps if this was powered by Google’s Android Oreo (Go Edition), the experience wouldn’t have been so sluggish. Either way, it would be difficult to recommend this phone to anyone. Instead, I’d suggest to spend a bit more and get the Honor 7A or the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro.

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
