The HP Pavilion dm4-2180us is a great all-around performer and has added features, like a fingerprint reader and WiDi 2.0 that make it well worth its price. However, the Asus U46E-BAL5 has more to give— and not only in hard drive space. Travelers will get much needed use out of the WiMAX broadband on the Asus, and USB 3.0 will help transferring data at faster speeds than USB 2.0 can offer. But if you have no use for advanced wireless features, then the Editors' Choice Dell Inspiron 14z has a backlit keyboard, USB 3.0, and a battery life that's hard to beat.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: 3 imminenti (Q1 2011) schede grafiche integrate nel processore Intel Sandy Bridge (Core ix-2xxx). La 3000 / 200 è la versione più veloce internamente chiamata GT2 con 12 Execution Units (EUs).

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.
