Le altri parti del notebook hanno alti (schermo, audio, porte) e bassi (webcam, disegno datato, batteria piccola), per una media che è sicuramente oltre la sufficienza viste le prestazioni ma che risente della costosa configurazione italiana. I 2700 euro necessari per un Core i9 non sono tanti nel paragone con la concorrenza e per la dotazione, ma restano un listino possibile solo a certi utenti, e di solito a queste cifre si pretende l’eccellenza. ScreenPad a parte, ZenBook Pro UX580 non riesce a superare in tutto i rivali: la concorrenza è tosta e il livello si è alzato vertiginosamente in questi anni.

We applaud Asus for trying something new and different with the ScreenPad feature. However, the company seems to have let its clever ideas run wild, and too many features and modes have been combined into one device. Extension Display mode has very limited usefulness and the implementation is a total trainwreck, breaking the most basic habits that people have when using touchscreens.

Asus knows that it will grab headlines and eyeballs with the ScreenPad, but we fear that real-world use will prove to be a bit complicated.
