Il nuovo modello ha un look fresco ed un hardware all'avanguardia. Grazie alla CPU Ivy Bridge ed alla scheda grafica GeForce 600, il G75 fa mangiare la polvere ai suoi predecessori. La ventola sarà sempre silenziosa come al solito nell'utilizzo del 3D?

In the end, the Asus G75 is for sure an impressive laptop, especially the G75VW top-config I got to test here. When compared to last year’s G74, it’s significantly faster, while still running cool and quiet. Asus also made a couple of changes, making the whole thing slimmer, adding a backlit keyboard, a 2.1 sound system and a Thunderbolt port. However, I do feel that some aspects could still be improved and I’m looking especially at that keyboard.

Don't get me wrong: The G75VW can play most games at an acceptable level, and it's a fairly attractive machine to boot. Plus, it has a great screen with excellent viewing angles. That said, it's lacking in general performance, and it's nothing like some of the higher-end gaming laptops we've seen, such as the Origin EON17-S. On the other hand, though the EON17-S has twice the WorldBench 7 score of the G75VW, it also costs more than twice as much. If you're looking for a somewhat budget-friendly gaming laptop, the G75VW is quite capable. But you will need to use headphones.

The quad core Ivy Bridge processor, NVIDIA Kepler graphics and the excellent matte finish 17.3-inch display all add up to a superb gaming experience. Of course, the laptop is still on the very large and heavy side.

The G75VW is the latter.The Asus G75VW is far from pretty and it certainly isn't cheap, but it redeems itself by providing a massive serving of power for both general computing and gaming. Con il marchio ROG (Republic of Gamers), ASUS produce laptop da gioco conosciuti dai giocatori per le loro potenti specifiche, schede grafiche dedicate, display ad alta frequenza di aggiornamento e sistemi di raffreddamento avanzati.
