In games, it’ll hinge on just how much the game is GPU- or CPU-bound. We’ve seen performance hits from as little as 2 percent to as much as 25 percent compared to laptops of similar size and weight. For content creation apps, such as GPU-based rendering or compute, the differences between the 155-watt RTX 3080 and the 105-watt RTX 3080 shrink to 10 to 15 percent. That’s still a noticeable performance sacrifice, but we understand if you’ll take the hit because your ears can simply no longer take it. The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is still a very fast gaming laptop, and far from the noisiest, an awfully appealing combination.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU: Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip Ampere GA104. Al momento del lancio, all'inizio del 2021, la 3080 è la scheda grafica per laptop più veloce sul mercato.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
