Come ci aspettavamo, il tablet è un prodotto high-end, ed ha alcuni componenti di elevato valore che lo rendono uno specialista dell'intrattenimento. Nella nostra recensione, accenderemo le luci sui limiti che potrete riscontrare in questo dispositivo.

L’Amazon Fire HD 10 è disponibile su Amazon in due diverse versioni: da 32 e 64 GB, venduto rispettivamente al prezzo di 149€ e 189€. Per quanto riguarda le prestazioni, durante l’utilizzo quotidiano il tablet è fra i migliori in circolazione; tuttavia il Fire OS limita notevolmente alcune funzionalità del dispositivo, così come le app disponibili. Nonostante ciò si tratta comunque di un ottimo dispositivo adatto a tutti e facile da utilizzare.

Anche se questo Amazon Fire HD 10 è il modello 2021, quello che subito risalta appena lo si guarda e utilizza, solo le cornici che fanno venire in mente dispositivi di altri tempi, così come non sono presenti gli ormai quasi indispensabili sblocchi biometrici (impronte e viso) ma maneggevolezza e utilizzo, sono davvero ottimi. Attualmente è possibile trovare l’Amazon Fire HD 10, su Amazon ad un prezzo di 149.99 euro per il modello da noi provato, ovvero con 32 GB di archivio interno e “Con Pubblicità”; sempre da 32 GB di archivio ma “Senza Pubblicità” costa 164.99 euro. Sicuramente l’Amazon Fire HD 10 è più sfruttabile da chi ha un abbonamento Amazon Prime, potendo utilizzare i servizi come Prime Video, Amazon Music e Amazon Photos.

In conclusione stiamo parlando di un device all'altezza del brand, con molti pregi ma sicuramente con qualche difetto rilevante (fotocamere su tutti). Mi è piaciuta la gestione delle risorse di questo tablet, mi hanno sorpreso i benchmark e in generale mi è ha pienamente soddisfatto il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non è una rivoluzione rispetto alla strada tracciata dai tablet Amazon Fire precedenti, ma alla fine dei conti merita di essere promosso!

Amazon Fire HD 10 è un buon tablet dal prezzo medio di 149€ (con le pubblicità che sono però solo in fase di blocco schermo e dunque non creano alcun fastidio). Ci piace che Amazon vada molto al sodo con questo tablet: non possiede un design particolarmente accattivante anzi il suo ''guscio'' in policarbonato potrebbe renderlo un po’ anonimo e forse anche un po’ poco rifinito. Ma quello che interessa ad Amazon è risparmiare su questi particolari (non tanto sulla robustezza visto che quella c’è tutta) e andare a fondo sull’intrattenimento e l’utilizzo del device. C’è Android 9 Pie mascherato da FireOS che possiede tre semplici schermate senza una particolare libertà di personalizzazione per l’utente. Ma di fatto tutto quello che serve per utilizzare il tablet c’è e funziona anche bene.

That's the magic of Bluetooth after all. The same thing goes with the Microsoft 365 subscription: who said you had to use it exclusively with the Fire HD 10? We're not the Fire OS Police (ha). You might as well use Office on something more responsive. If you aren’t familiar with Fire tablets, they can provide the same basic functionality as your smartphone on a larger screen. And with Amazon’s brand at the forefront, there are certain things I’d do here that I wouldn’t on most other tablets like read an ebook or watch Prime Video.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids is a great tablet for young children ages three to seven. It sports a bright display, a durable kid-friendly design, and excellent battery life. Plus, the detailed built-in parental controls give you a lot of control over what a child does on the device, with little risk of them going astray. Of course, there are some other alternatives. You can buy a the more expensive iPad 2020 ($300) and configure iOS settings so that your child can’t access certain content. Or, you can save a little money by buying a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite ($159) and setting up some limits for your kid using Android's built-in parental controls. In both cases you'll miss out on the longer battery life, as well as the accident-proof design, though you'll gain access to more apps, as well as better performance on the iPad. But if you just want a durable, long-lasting tablet tailored to young children, the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids is a great choice.

But I was completely wrong. The 2021 model of the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids tablet is worth every single dollar, not least with the Kid-Proof Case and two years of free replacements. Books, audiobooks, curated apps and games, all the favorite TV channels, they're all there, ready to use, with minimal fuss, and Amazon Kids+ enhances that. The Parental Control tool may be browser-only (even on mobile) but is far easier to use than Google's Family Link. And fortunately, the Amazon App Store boasts a large enough library that key apps such as my daughter's educational tools are available without worrying about installing Google Play. We are now on the 13th generation of the Fire tablet line, more than a decade from the launch of the device family that has arguably done more than any other to define what budget tablets can be. The Fire 10 bears all the benefits of years of iterative design tweaks. It has a screen that is decent but never wows, loud dual speakers, a robust design, strong battery life, enough performance for most people and a selfie camera that allows for clear video calls. That it also comes at a price which can drop as low as £80 is the icing on the cake. There are a few strings attached of course – you’ll find ads on the lock screen, a profusion of Amazon services trying to sell themselves to you, a lack of easy access to Google’s apps and a restrictive base internal memory allocation. If you can live with all of the above, the Fire HD 10 is one of the best and most balanced budget tablets on the market today, and as such it earns our recommendation.

I still struggle to fully recommend Amazon tablets, as the software is so obnoxiously outdated that it effectively blocks off one of the main uses for a tablet. If there’s any chance you might want productivity features from your tablet, do yourself a favour and spend a little more on something like the Oppo Pad Air – it’s much more suited to work, has a better display and is currently only £179. If, however, you’ve no real need for access to Google Drive or the Chrome browser, the simple fact is that you’re not going to find a better tablet for this price. Performance gets a tidy little boost, battery life is still competitive and the display remains sufficient for most people. It’s not the flashiest tablet out there, but for casual streaming, light gaming or something to keep the kids quiet for a bit, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2023) reigns supreme.

A tablet with a narrow target audience, the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is locked down for kids’ use, and only really good for media consumption. However, this means that if you’re able to furnish it with an appropriate child, it’s a good value way to give them some videos and games to pass the time with, while being able to control what they see.

If you are looking for a kid-focused tablet for a child that is eight or above, then the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids is a fantastic tablet. For younger kids, you may want to consider the smaller Fire HD 8 Kids or Fire 7 Kids because it will be easier to hold for smaller hands. As for this device, Amazon's upgrades Amazon have made it a great device that can grow with your child. The performance and expandable storage means that as your child's needs become more demanding, the device can handle it. Considering that, along with the excellent Amazon Kids+ software that keeps the bad content out, lets you have control of tablet usage, and offers a Pro mode to handle more mature kids' requirements, it's hard to go wrong here. Oh, and don't forget the free two-year worry-free warranty that nets you a replacement device should anything happen to the tablet. These things add up to a great experience for kids and parents alike and will keep Amazon as the leader in the space for the foreseeable future.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro (2023) tablet is a solid option as a secondary device at home, especially one that will be primarily used by kids. Amazon offers a comprehensive set of parental control features, giving parents better control over how their children browse the web, play games, or watch streaming content. In that sense, even the smaller app selection on the Amazon App Store works in favor of the Kids version, with better curation than the one found on the Google Play Store. Outside the kids’ features, the Fire HD 10 under the protective case is also a fine option for streaming media or casual games, with support for the most popular video streaming services (except for Apple TV+). The cheap Amazon tablet is also a good choice for video calls with friends and family (except for Google Meet).

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro has decent hardware, an attractive screen, and enough memory and processing power to run multiple apps simultaneously. It offers long enough battery life to keep kids busy for car rides or flights, has a headphone jack for when wireless headphones run out of juice, and reduces adult anxiety thanks to its top-of-the-line parental controls and endless supply of kid-friendly content. The most significant detractor is Amazon itself—the in-your-face lock screen ads and heavily favored Amazon content can wear on you. Children almost certainly won't care, however, which makes the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro one of the best kids' tablets you can get, especially if you want one with a big screen. For $40 less, the Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is smaller and easier to handle, but not quite as peppy.

Amazon:

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

Imagination PowerVR GX6250:

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).

ARM Mali-G72 MP3:

Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.
