Il Samsung RF510 è un notebookavanzato e interessante, dal design ergonomico e dotato di tante funzioni, come quella che consente di ricaricare i dispositivi collegati anche a computer spento. Da sottolineare anche la porta HDMI, la porta USB versione 3.0, il Bluetooth 3.0, il lettore di schede di memoria, il Wi-Fi e, soprattutto, la performante scheda grafica NVIDIA.

This was a powerful unit that performed well, if you could lose the shiny lid and reflective screen and add a Blu-ray drive then I think I would have found what for me would be a near perfect system. My only other gripe is why do cards stick out from the multi card slot where others get them to fit snugly in, this could cause problems if you go to put the unit in a case possibly even damaging or removing the card without you seeing.

However, in this price range, the Dell XPS 15 provides similar performance with better audio, a more colorful screen, a backlit keyboard, and configuration options such as Blu-ray and a full HD display. If you don't need the muscle of discrete graphics, the Samsung SF510 is an equally stylish system with a 15-inch display, good performance, and long battery life for just $650. But if you're looking for a powerful 15-inch system with a strong keyboard and high-end looks, the Samsung RF510 is a compelling option.

We've been dead impressed by some of the laptops Samsung has spawned over the last few months, so our hopes were sky-high for the 15.6-inch Samsung RF510. The Samsung RF510 is a powerful, although not particularly portable, laptop that offers plenty of computer for your cash. Even though no particular feature blew us away, it's a great all-rounder.

Samsung is marketing the RF-series as "high-end performance notebooks matched with a futuristic design". In essence, we won't refute its performance clause, judging from satisfactory results garnered on the PCMark and 3DMark benches. After all, the middle class laptop does come with an adequate quad-core solution and discrete graphics.

If the Samsung RF510-S01US had two things to put on an advertising banner, it would be its speedy processor and powerful Nvidia graphics chip. It can take on most tasks with a smug yawn, yet leave enough room in your budget for another gadget. Its looks and battery scores aren't worth writing home about, although neither of which will matter if the laptop is tethered to an outlet and stays in one location most of the time, as most desktop replacements do. If you're looking for a better looking laptop, with better battery options, the Dell XPS 15 and HP dv7-4283cl are better picks.

Samsung: Samsung Group è il più grande conglomerato sudcoreano ed è stato fondato nel 1938. Samsung Group impiegava 489.000 persone nel 2014 ed è una delle più grandi aziende al mondo in termini di fatturato e forza di mercato. Il nome Samsung significa "Tre stelle" in coreano e rappresenta i tre figli del fondatore dell'azienda. L'azienda nasce nel 1938 come negozio di alimentari. Con la sua controllata Samsung Electronics, fondata nel 1969, Samsung ha intrapreso la produzione di articoli elettrotecnici, concentrandosi fin dall'inizio sull'elettronica di consumo e sugli elettrodomestici. Altri rami in cui è attiva la grande società includono ingegneria meccanica, automobili (Hyundai), assicurazioni, commercio all'ingrosso, immobiliare e tempo libero. Samsung produce una vasta gamma di prodotti elettronici, inclusi smartphone, televisori, elettrodomestici e semiconduttori. La linea di smartphone Galaxy dell'azienda è una delle più popolari al mondo. 460M: L'Intel Core i5-460M è una CPU dual core di fascia alta per portatili ed ha un clock (grazie al Turbo Mode) da 2.53 a 2.8 GHz. Ogni core si basa sulla micro architettura Nehalem (Westemere). L'hyperthreading consente alla CPU Dual Core di gestire 4 threads contemporaneamente (per un miglior utilizzo della pipeline).

560M: Il Core i5-560M ha solo 3 MB di L3 Cache (rispetto all'I7-620M) ed un clock tra 2.67-3.2 GHz (Turbo Mode). Grazie all'Hyperthreading, 4 threads possono essere processati simultaneamente. Nel pacchetto sono incluse una scheda grafica integrata (GMA HD) ed un controller di memoria DDR3.

480M: Il Core i5-480M ha solo 3 MB di L3 Cache (rispetto alla I7-620M) ed un clock tra 2.66-2.9 GHz (Turbo Mode). Grazie all'Hyperthreading, 4 threads possono essere gestiti simultaneamente. Nel pacchetto sono incluse anche una scheda grafica integrata (GMA HD) ed un controller di memoria DDR3.

Intel Core i7:

720QM: Il Core i7-720QM è il Core i7 Quad più lento del 2009 ed ha un clock tra 1.6 e 2.8 GHz (grazie al Turbo Mode). Di conseguenza, il processore combina i vantaggi delle veloci CPUs single core e delle lente CPUs quad-core. Rispetto alle più veloci CPUs Core i7, la 720QM ha solo 6MB di L3 Cache.
