Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

HP realizza questo convertibile Pavilion in formato 15.6" ed ha sufficiente potenza di calcolo per tutti gli scenari applicativi comuni. Il portatile funziona in modo molto silenzioso in idle e difficilmente si scalda. Non ha problemi di spazio: ci sono un hard drive da 1TB e 8 GB di RAM. Per l'upgrade ad un solid state drive dovete aprire tutto il case. HP non ha ritenuto opportuno prevedere una cover di accesso. La tastiera è sufficiente per l'utilizzo domestico. L'autonomia che ha mostrato il Pavilion nel nostro test WLAN mostra che è appena nella media. Per un portatile davvero mobile non è la scelta migliore.

Lo schermo non è particolarmente impressionante come si vede dall'aspetto poco luminoso.

Per quasi 600 Euro, HP dovrebbe offrire di più. Ha un un ampio angolo di visuale e uno schermo IPS con contrasto decente. Oltre alla tastiera e touchpad per l'input, è presente anche un touchscreen reattivo agli input, che sinano dita o active pen.
