Il Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, è un buon prodotto di fascia media, con un processore che fa ampiamente il suo lavoro con zero impuntamenti software. Comparto fotografico nella media, nulla che faccia gridare al miracolo, presente anche il display da 120 Hz, ma crediamo che il prezzo a cui è offerto è un po’ troppo alto, ed è forse questo l’unico lato negativo. Attualmente è possibile trovare lo Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, nella versione da noi provata, 8/128GB, su Amazon o sul sito Xiaomi ad un prezzo di 399,90 euro.

Il Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G ha un display AMOLED da 6.67 pollici Corning Gorilla Glass 5 con risoluzione FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixel) e ben 120 Hz di frequenza di aggiornamento; monta un processore Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G (6 nm) – Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver), 8 GB di RAM e 128 GB di memoria interna UFS 2.2, espandibile con microSDXC. Il comparto fotocamera principale è composto da tre sensori, il principale da 108 MP f/1.9, 26mm (grandangolare), il secondario da 8 MP f/2.2, 118° (ultra grandangolare) e il terzo da 2 MP, f/2.4, 50mm (macro), con la possibilità di girare video in 1080p@30 fps; presente il Flash DUAL LED dual-tone, mentre la frontale è da 16 MP, f/2.5, (grandangolare), con la possibilità di girare video in 1080p@30fps. Esteticamente abbiamo un corpo in plastica con una cover in vetro, molto bello, classico ed elegante; non è nemmeno molto scivoloso ma meglio utilizzarlo con la cover in dotazione. Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G è figlio dei tempi che il mercato sta passando. Si tratta di un dispositivo con importanti punti di forza, dall'autonomia granitica all'ottimo schermo AMOLED con frequenza di aggiornamento di 120Hz. Non manca poi un comparto connettività che include Wi-Fi 6 e 5G, così come il jack audio per le cuffie. Tuttavia, le prestazioni sono solamente nella media, il design potrebbe non piacere a tutti, i DRM Widevine sono L3 (Netflix solo in SD), i materiali non sono esattamente Premium e il comparto fotografico non è propriamente dei migliori. Si tratta dunque di un dispositivo che presenta delle pecche non di poco conto, che inficiano l'appeal del dispositivo. Il principale aspetto che farà storcere il naso agli utenti è il prezzo: 329,90 euro per il modello da 6/64GB (le vendite inizieranno a marzo 2022) e 399,90 euro per il modello da 8/128GB non sono del tutto a fuoco.

Mentre la versione 4G è proposta a 329,90 Euro nella versione 6/128 GB e 349,90 Euro nella versione 8/128 GB. A questi prezzi è indubbiamente un acquisto sconsigliato. OnePlus Nord 2, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G Ne, Realme GT Master Edition, tutte proposte decisamente più valide sotto quasi tutti i fronti, l’unica eccezione è la ricarica rapida pari a 67W su cui effettivamente questo Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G è superiore, caratteristica però che non corregge l’equilibrio. Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G non è uno smartphone totalmente cestinare semplicemente il prezzo di listino è troppo alto e non offre niente di più rispetto a quanto c’è nella fascia media del 2021, oggi proposta a ottimi prezzi. Consigliamo l’acquisto solo dopo che scenderà sotto i 279 Euro.

I 399 euro chiesti per la versione 8/128GB secondo me sono troppi, ma la versione 6/128 che parte da 379 e scenderà con l'offerta di lancio potrebbe diventare interessante se intorno ai 339. Sotto i 300 euro diventa best buy. Se avete già un Redmi Note 10 o 10 Pro no, non consiglio il passaggio. In conclusione direi un buon medio di gamma, con il giudizio che dipende proprio dal prezzo. Sicuramente il migliore fra tutti i Redmi Note 11.

It is a very well-balanced device, providing more than 2.5 days of autonomy when used moderately, a good charging experience, and decent efficiency. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G’s performance was mixed during the on-the-go tests, with strong autonomy for social apps, but low autonomy when using GPS navigation. The 67W charger filled up the large 5000 mAh battery in 58 minutes and 58 seconds, which is very fast for the Advanced segment. A 5-minute quick charging boost yielded a good autonomy of 6 hours and 19 minutes. The charge was also very efficient. The device had good control of discharge currents when comparing the entire database, with lower-than-average consumption in most uses. But discharge currents were only average for the segment, with a high consumption noted when using GPS on the go. The Redmi Note 11 Pro is a strange phone that’s likely a victim of the ongoing global chipset shortage. This trend of 2022 phones that are inferiorly specced compared to their 2021 counterparts isn’t exclusive to Xiaomi phones. Redmi’s main competitor Realme is experiencing similar with its Realme 9 series. That said, when you take away the context of past and present (and a global crisis), the Note 11 Pro 5G is still a good phone at a good price. Its screen is excellent for watching videos, its design both looks and feels premium for the price – much better than the Poco X4 Pro 5G’s – and it has exceptionally good battery life. Gamers should definitely look to last year’s Poco F3, an absolute bargain with Snapdragon 8-series power. Anyone after a better camera should consider the Realme 9 Pro+, which edges ahead thanks to its stabilized lens and superior video capture. But for binge-watchers after refined styling, the Note 11 Pro still has its place.

With the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Xiaomi has decided to play it safe. That's not a bad thing necessarily considering last year's Redmi Note 10 Pro offered huge upgrades, but Xiaomi could have done more to differentiate the phone. While the phone has slightly faster internal hardware and better charging tech, it doesn't differ in any meaningful way to its predecessor. In fact, the design isn't as good as last year, and the camera is worse off thanks to the lack of 4K video recording. Then there's the software situation; with the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G running Android 11 and slated to get just two version updates, it is on an equal footing with the Redmi Note 10 Pro. With a lot of alternatives readily available, I can't help but feel that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is a poor showing in this category. The Realme 9 Pro+ gives you more value for your money as it has Android 12 out of the box, and you get better cameras. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is still the default choice if you don't care about 4G, and if you need to switch to 5G, the Realme 9 Pro+ is the obvious alternative.

I'm not sure what Xiaomi has done in order to cut the cost down on its $329 Redmi Note 11 Pro, but it’s not apparent in the form or function of this stellar budget smartphone. With decent performance, a quality 108MP main shooter, a stunning 120Hz AMOLED display and fantastic battery life, the Redmi Note 11 Pro raises the bar on what a more affordable Android smartphone can do — putting some flagship smartphones to shame. Not everyone will get full use out of flagship smartphones like the iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S22 or Pixel 6, so it’s understandable they turn to the budget smartphone market. But the people that do will be pleasantly surprised with the flagship perks phones like the Redmi Note 11 Pro deliver anyway, albeit at a subpar level in some departments such as processing power, OS sustainability and camera capabilities. Regardless, you’d be hard pressed to find a more affordable smartphone option with these specs, and the phone cover that Xiaomi throws in with the Redmi Note 11 Pro is just the icing on the cake.

Xiaomi has delivered yet again with their Redmi Note series. The Redmi N0te 11 Pro 5G is a worthy successor to the AndroidHeadlines Editor’s Choice 10 series device from last year. The hardware design has great improvements, the processor delivers better performance, and has 5G connectivity and you now get an ever faster 67W charging brick in the box. Xiaomi did not mess with the display, battery capacity, great-sounding speakers, headphone jack, or the multitude of connectivity options. There are a couple of small compromises, namely the lower resolution macro camera and lack of 4K video. The first one isn’t too meaningful because the main camera with 2X digital zoom produces better output than the macro camera in my experience. The only big drawback then is the inability to record 4K video. On the plus side, you get great hardware, excellent ergonomics, a beautiful screen, good performance, lots of RAM, 67W fast charging, NFC, and stellar audio. Main and ultrawide camera performance is quite good as well for still photography.

It might be unfair to compare the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G versus the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and I guess the recent chip shortage might have resulted in increased costs for Redmi. But even then, the Redmi Note 11 Pro (non-5G) gets a rather major downgrade from its predecessor when it comes to performance, while being offered at the same price. The only main advantage of this year’s Redmi Note 11 Pro duo is the 67W fast charging. In all honesty, I am not really liking the way the Redmi Note series is heading, and hopefully we will see it steered in the right direction once again soon.
