Quanto avete letto è stato pubblicato ormai oltre un mese fa per la prima volta, da allora lo smartphone è migliorato grazie ad almeno 3 grossi aggiornamenti. Cosa è cambiato? Il sensore di prossimità continua ad essere problematico anche se in modo meno evidente, le performance sono decisamente migliorate invece, così come sono stati sistemati una serie di bug fastidiosi. Per quanto riguarda la fotocamera non ho visto nulla di nuovo, in particolare i video in 4K continuano ad essere di scarsa qualità.

Quanto avete letto è stato pubblicato ormai oltre un mese fa per la prima volta, da allora lo smartphone è migliorato grazie ad almeno 3 grossi aggiornamenti. Cosa è cambiato? Il sensore di prossimità continua ad essere problematico anche se in modo meno evidente, le performance sono decisamente migliorate invece, così come sono stati sistemati una serie di bug fastidiosi. Per quanto riguarda la fotocamera non ho visto nulla di nuovo, in particolare i video in 4K continuano ad essere di scarsa qualità.

Il display Amoled a 120 Hz è il suo cavallo di battaglia unito all’aspetto multimediale curato e al comparto fotografico, che può solo migliorare nel tempo con ulteriori aggiornamenti software. Proprio su questi aspetti rappresenta insomma una concreta alternativa a Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite e Mi 10T Lite, che rimangono così preferibili solo per la connettività. Se invece la tecnologia Amoled non fa per voi o non la ritenete sufficiente per questo esborso, c’è sempre il più che valido Poco X3 NFC che costa 100 Euro in meno e offre lo stesso processore e refresh rate.

Redmi Note 10 Pro è lo smartphone 4G low cost che volevamo da Xiaomi. Il salto in avanti in termini di display è notevole, così come lo sono le prestazioni fotografiche, se rapportate alla fascia di prezzo sotto ai 300 euro. A questo si aggiungono un design interessante, nonché un caricabatterie da 33W, un reparto connettività completo di NFC, triplo slot e Bluetooth 5.1, un'autonomia che non deluderà l'utente medio e delle buone prestazioni. Non male anche dimensioni e peso, che sono inferiori a quanto visto con molti altri modelli, anche se per alcuni rimarranno elevate. Il software è inoltre la classica MIUI 12. Veramente difficile trovare una pecca a questo modello, se non l'elevato spessore delle fotocamere, la presenza di pubblicità poco invasiva e qualche lieve imperfezione relativa alle foto grandangolari. Insomma, capite bene che i punti di forza sovrastano gli aspetti negativi. Se non vi interessa il 5G, siete dinanzi a un best buy, nonostante l'agguerrita concorrenza.

I’m having a hard time thinking of any serious drawbacks to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, unless you have an aversion to the company’s cartoony MIUI Android skin. Yes, we don’t have a UK price yet, but assuming it’s under £300 – as it should be given the US RRP is $279 – then it’s a fantastic pick with decent performance, an incredible screen and superb photographic abilities. The only fly in the ointment is the fact that Xiaomi’s Poco X3 NFC sells for at least £100 cheaper, and it has exactly the same processor and RAM. I think, however, that there’s enough here to justify the extra expenditure thanks to its wonderful camera and silky smooth 120Hz AMOLED screen. If you’re concerned about the lack of 5G, you may fancy the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus for around the same price, and it does offer slightly better in gaming performance to boot – albeit with a cheaper feeling build, and “just” a 90Hz screen. If 5G isn’t a necessity, however, then the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is definitely the phone for you.
