Il Summit E15 dovrebbe rendere la vita difficile agli affermati Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme e Dell XPS 15. Per ottenere questo, MSI usa la tecnologia più recente: Tiger Lake, Turing, USB 4.0, Thunderbolt 4, PCI Express 4. Il nostro test mostra se questo piano ha successo.

Ok, ma quanto costa? Il prezzo di listino per la configurazione che ho utilizzato in questi giorni è di 1.999 euro. Una cifra certamente importante ma che è comunque allineata alle proposte alternative più rinomate. Dell XPS 15 e i vari Lenovo ThinkPad sono disponibili, con configurazioni simili, a prezzi a volte anche superiori. Leggero, abbastanza sottile, memorie velocissime, soluzioni interessanti legate alla sicurezza e autonomia di buon livello. Tutte caratteristiche che fanno di questo MSI Summit E15 una prima edizione già degna di attenzione. Sarà sufficiente per imporsi in questo mercato? Solo il tempo saprà darci la risposta.

Its large 82Wh battery lasted for 11 hours and a half of Web browsing, and a bit over 10 hours of video playback. Also, we tried gaming on it, but then, it ran out of juice after one hour and 37 minutes.

The Prestige 14 (A11Sx) looks absolutely stunning, especially when it’s dressed in white. In order to accommodate the dedicated GPU, as well as the Core i7-1185G7, MSI decided to lift the backside of the base from the ground. This gives a lot more breathing space for the fan inside. Interestingly, the cooling solution is able to maintain a 35W power limit on this CPU, which is one of the highest out there, pretty much helping it perform significantly better than a Core i5-10300H.

EN→ITThe MSI Summit E15 A11SCS can be had for $2,899 and comes with a two-year warranty. To be frank, that feels expensive: the laptop promises greatness but doesn't to achieve it. The high-end business laptop market is crowded with great choices – including from MSI's own stable – and we’d choose all of them over this. There's also the mid-range, $1,499 MSI Modern 15 which, at half the price, is not far behind the Summit at all. We much prefer the resplendent MSI Prestige anyway (despite being a 14-inch model) and that's $800 less.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q:
Scheda grafica dedicata di media gamma per computer portatili che utilizza un chip Turing TU117 senza raytracing e nuclei Tensor. Funziona a velocità di clock ridotte rispetto a un portatile GTX 1650 Ti per ottenere un consumo energetico molto più basso (35 contro 50 - 80 Watt).
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
