Lenovo Thinkpad X9 Aura Edition, come detto e più volte ribadito, rappresenta un netto cambio di rotta rispetto a ciò a cui eravamo abituati sentendo parlare di Thinkpad. Dal punto di vista costruttivo e stilistico, è un prodotto che convince pienamente: materiali di alta qualità, finiture curate, ingombri ridottissimi e una portabilità eccezionale. Lo schermo OLED da 2.8K a 120Hz è tra i migliori visti su un portatile da 14 pollici, e contribuisce a definire un’esperienza d’uso visivamente appagante, che trascende l’ambito professionale per abbracciare anche intrattenimento e creatività. Le prestazioni sono più che sufficienti per la maggior parte degli scenari d’uso: dalla produttività da ufficio alla collaborazione remota, passando per un uso leggero in ambito creativo. Ma c'è anche da dire che in questo mercato la concorrenza è tante e quindi non possiamo non guardare al prezzo.

Si può discutere o meno del fatto che questo Thinkpad X9 14” sia davvero un Thinkpad, ma una cosa è certa: un laptop così bilanciato e con questo rapporto prestazioni / consumi è difficile da trovare sul mercato se si cerca ovviamente Windows e si vuole restare su una soluzione x86. Lenovo ha fatto un lavoro eccellente a 360°, sia per quanto riguarda l’hardware sia per la parte software ecosistema. Di un laptop spesso si guarda solo la potenza, ma crediamo che un target business che passa l’80% del tempo in meeting o davanti a browser / office debba guardare ad altro: portabilità, solidità, sicurezza ma soprattutto tastiera, trackpad, webcam e audio. Questi quattro elementi su questo Thinkpad sono eccezionali, soprattutto il trackpad e la tastiera.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Gen 1 is a controversial addition to the ThinkPad lineup and easily the best addition to that lineup in many years and possibly the best laptop of 2025 (it is). Yes, I know that is a bold statement, so take it with a grain of salt and do your own research and read other reviews. Overall, both the 14-inch and 15-inch models offer similar performance experiences (depending on what CPU you opt for). Obviously, the screen size is different, but both of these panels are 2.8K OLED displays with anti-reflective coating, and they look spectacular. The design is on point and really reminds me of a MacBook Pro, that is intentional. The new Intel chips and GPUs are spectacular and offer nearly the same performance and battery life as Apple’s M-chips.

We can find no fault with Lenovo's new small-business model except for a less-than-ideal keyboard and a missing USB Type-A port. This ThinkPad's screen quality, audio fidelity, and other user conveniences earn it our Editors' Choice award. Lenovo has found and filled a nifty niche with this laptop.

For nearly $1,459, our model of the ThinkPad X9-14 features a minimal second generation Ultra 5 chip, 16GB RAM, and 512GB of storage. We’ve tested cheaper laptops with significantly better specs, and upgrading to match those specs brings the laptop over $2K. This isn’t a unique problem to the ThinkPad X9-14, but it’s especially notable when getting one of the weakest second generation Ultra chips out there. Worst of all, its battery life isn’t even that great.

Intel Arc 140V: Un adattatore grafico integrato piuttosto veloce che, secondo quanto riferito, alcuni processori Intel Lunar Lake impiegano. Il 140V ha 8 core di architettura Xe² che funzionano fino a 2.050 MHz e 8 unità di ray tracing; è abilitato a DirectX 12 Ultimate e supporta anche tutti i codec video moderni. Se le recenti fughe di notizie sui punteggi dei benchmark sono indicative, le sue prestazioni di gioco saranno leggermente migliori di quelle di GeForce MX570.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
