Il marchio ThinkBook è sempre nell'ombra del ben più noto e popolare ThinkPad. Anche se il ThinkBook 14 Gen 8 IAL non ucciderà la domanda di ThinkPad, fa alcune cose meglio dei suoi cugini neri, come l'aggiornabilità.

EN→ITThe Lenovo ThinkBook 14 is a laptop stuck in the past. From its display to its design, to its battery life and performance, nothing about it feels modern. Even its perks are countered by trade-offs that don’t work to its benefit. It has the physical connectivity that a prosumer or frequent flier might want to connect to anything they encounter on the road, but it lacks the performance and battery life to be a great travel companion. It has a keyboard that is great for long typing sessions, but the display is often too dim to easily see what’s on screen. The real problem, however, is that it faces competitors that do better in nearly every metric, aside from connectivity. That’s what ultimately sinks the laptop’s fortunes: if you’ve got about $800 to spend, you’ve no shortage of much better options, from the Asus’ Zenbook 14 to Lenovo’s own Ideapad models. And that’s to say nothing of Apple’s MacBook Air 13, which, if you’re ok with MacOS, is quicker, lighter, delivers far better battery life.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.
Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
Intel Arc 140T:
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
Intel UHD Graphics Xe G4 48EUs:

Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 7 255H: Processore mobile di fascia alta basato sull'architettura Arrow Lake con 16 core suddivisi in 3 cluster. I 6 veloci core P hanno un clock fino a 5,1 GHz. Ci sono anche 8 core E più piccoli con un massimo di 4,4 GHz e 2 piccoli core a basso consumo (stessa architettura) con un massimo di 2,5 GHz. Integra una piccola NPU con prestazioni di picco di 13 TOPS e supporta vPro Essentials.
Intel Raptor Lake-H:
Core 5 210H: CPU mobile basata su Alder Lake con 4 core ad alte prestazioni e 4 core efficienti. I core ad alte prestazioni offrono l'hyper threading, per un totale di 12 thread di elaborazione. La CPU funziona fino a 4,8 GHz.
