On the higher-end models, like the one reviewed, it's got the chops to chew through complex calculations, 3D modeling, and anything else you could dream up. But if you can't afford to crank the sliders up to the top, it's no different from most consumer laptops, except the price tag is twice what you'd expect to pay for a comparable Arrow Lake mobile clamshell with no discrete GPU. That said, anyone needing a mobile workstation won't be settling for second-best, which means speccing it out to the nines. In this realm, value takes a backseat to the simple equation of "can it do the task or not," and in that calculus, the HP ZBook X G1i is very good indeed. The only question mark is over the 8GB of VRAM on the discrete GPU, because while it's enough for video editing or other creative tasks, it's nowhere near enough to deal with many of the AI models that you might want to use in the field.

We would highly recommend this machine if money was no object, and you needed a reliable and powerful machine that can blast through any intensive workloads, from machine learning projects to 3D modeling or CAD. It's really a machine for power users, and a fantastic one at that – but if portability is more of a priority, or a stronger battery life – or you even just need something for more basic tasks – we would consider a cheaper option. That said, for a workstation, you couldn't ask for much more.

Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q:
Scheda grafica professionale per laptop di fascia alta basata sul chip TU104 con 3.072 shaders e 16 GB di VRAM GDDR6. Rispetto alla normale variante mobile, le varianti Max-Q sono cronometrate pi˘ basse e funzionano in modo pi˘ efficiente. Attualmente conosciamo tre varianti con diverse velocit‡ di clock e consumi energetici (80, 85 e 90 W).

Intel Comet Lake:
W-10885M: Processore basato sull'architettura di Coffee Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra otto core di processore con clock a 2,4 - 5,3 GHz che supportano HyperThreading. Prodotto in un processore migliorato a 14nm (14nm++). L'Intel Xeon W-10885M supporta le funzionalità di gestione vPro, TXT e SIPP ed è la versione professionale dell'Intel Core i9-10885H.
Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 7 265H: Processore mobile di fascia alta basato sull'architettura Arrow Lake con 16 core suddivisi in 3 cluster. I 6 veloci core P hanno un clock fino a 5,3 GHz. Ci sono anche 8 core E più piccoli con un massimo di 4,5 GHz e 2 piccoli core a basso consumo (stessa architettura) con un massimo di 2,5 GHz. Integra una piccola NPU con prestazioni di picco di 13 TOPS e supporta vPro Enterprise.
