HP Envy 15 nella sua ultima edizione 2020 è una workstation concreta, che mira al professionista con esigenze di performance elevate in ogni situazione, condite poi da uno dei migliori display che potreste chiedere ai portatili di oggigiorno. Lo scotto da pagare è una rumorosità delle ventole più elevata della media, per garantire dette performance, ed un'autonomia che non è certo elevata. È insomma un portatile nuovo, potente, ed in grado di eseguire anche software molto pesanti e molto a lungo, ma con qualche problema "vecchio", tipico di questa categoria di dispositivi, che speravamo però fossero più superati di così.

EN→ITIt was all going very well… perhaps too well. Until we got up to the temperature tests, we were pretty happy with the Envy 15 (15-ep1000). Well, yes, the CPU benchmarks were nothing to write home about, except for the Photoshop test. However, we weren’t prepared for what followed. However, we just can’t recommend this device. It has a ton of potential…really. But the lackluster cooling is surely hindering the success of this model. Our job would have been easier if Dell hasn’t botched their XPS 15 9510 the same way. However, you can check out the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 2, or the ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 OLED (UM535), both of which are pretty solid competitors.

HP: Fondata nel 1939, l'azienda statunitense è un importante produttore di server e stampanti e una delle aziende IT leader a livello mondiale. Fino al 2015, la società si chiamava Hewlett-Packard Company. Dopo una scissione, la divisione computer è stata ribattezzata HP Inc.
Nel 2023, HP deteneva una quota di mercato approssimativa del 22% delle vendite globali di PC, diventando così il numero 2 dopo Lenovo.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile:
Scheda grafica dedicata di media gamma per computer portatili che utilizza un chip Turing TU117 senza raytracing e nuclei Tensor. Dovrebbe essere leggermente più veloce di una GTX 1650, ma è anche disponibile in diverse varianti con un TGP che va da 55 - 80 Watt (e due pacchetti).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q:
Scheda grafica per laptop di fascia medio-alta basata sull'architettura Turing con funzionalità di raytracing e 1.920 shaders. Offre velocità di clock ridotte per ottenere un consumo energetico molto più basso.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU:
Scheda grafica per laptop da gioco di fascia media basata sul chip Ampere GA107.

Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10750H:
Un processore hexa-core ad alte prestazioni progettato per i computer portatili più spessi con spazio per migliori termiche. Il processore Comet Lake-H è prodotto sul processo Intel di terza generazione a 14 nm e dispone della iGPU UHD Graphics 630 con clock da 350 MHz a 1.150 MHz. I core della CPU funzionano a 2.6 GHz (velocità di clock di base) con boosting fino a 5 GHz e la probabile frequenza Boost all-core è di 4.3 GHz. Il supporto Hyper-Threading è abilitato, permettendo a due thread di funzionare simultaneamente su ogni core.
i5-10300H:
Su architettura Comet Lake (4a generazione di Skylake) basato su processore per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra quattro core di processore con clock a 2,5 - 4,5 GHz (4,2 GHz con 4 core) che supportano HyperThreading.
i9-10885H:
Processore basato sull'architettura Coffee Lake per computer portatili grandi e pesanti. Integra otto core del processore con clock a 2.4 - 5.3 GHz che supportano HyperThreading. Prodotto in un processo migliorato a 14nm (14nm++). Il Core i9-10855H supporta le funzioni di gestione vPro, TXT e SIPP.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i7-11800H:
SoC octa-core di fascia alta basato su Tiger Lake (serie H45) per computer portatili da gioco e workstation. Gli otto core della CPU funzionano da 2,3 GHz a 4,6 GHz. La GPU UHD Graphics integrata offre 32 UE fino a 1,45 GHz. Il chip è prodotto sul processo Intel SuperFin di seconda generazione a 10 nm.
i5-11400H:
Tiger Lake (serie H45) basato su SoC hexa-core di fascia alta per computer portatili da gioco e workstation. I sei core della CPU hanno un clock di 2.7 - 4.5 GHz. La GPU UHD Graphics integrata offre 32 core fino a 1,45 GHz. Il chip è prodotto con il processo SuperFin (migliorato a 10nm).
