Il successore del Precision 5530, la cui costruzione è identica a quella del Dell XPS 15, offre una potente CPU e una grafica di fascia media di Nvidia. Mentre la qualità costruttiva è, come al solito, fenomenale, i componenti devono mostrarsi nei nostri test.

For instance, the camera position is terrible. Even the XPS 15 7590 has its own camera placed above the display. Additionally, we would make the keyboard bigger and would love to have a NumberPad section, especially on a professional tool, that is the Precision 5540.

Scheda grafica dedicata di media gamma per computer portatili basata sul desktop GTX 1660 Ti e quindi sull'architettura Turing senza raytracing e core Tensor. Le prestazioni della variante Max-P dovrebbero essere simili a quelle di una vecchia GTX 1070.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.
