Vecchio fuori, nuovo dentro. Dell ha aggiornato l'Inspiron 13 5379 con un processore Intel di ottava generazione Kaby Lake. Questo tuttavia è l'unico cambio degno di nota. If you are willing to put up with short battery life, then we’d urge you to spend $50 on the entry-level Inspiron 13 7000 and its all-aluminum enclosure. There are, however, better options than either of Dell’s 13-inch convertibles. Each costs considerably more, but we like the HP Spectre x360 13 and the Lenovo Yoga 920 best among 13-inch 2-in-1 convertibles. And if your budget won’t allow for a four-figure purchase, then we recommend the Asus Transformer Pro T304UA or the Lenovo Yoga 720$849.99 at Lenovo.

Intel UHD Graphics 620:
GPU integrata (GT2, 24 EUs) si trova su alcuni modelli CPU Kaby-Lake-Refresh (15 W ULV series). Tecnicamente è identica alla precedente GPU Kaby-Lake chiamata HD Graphics 620.
Ridurre la distanza delle Schede Grafiche per gli utenti che vogliono utilizzare il videogiochi. I nuovi giochi dovrebbero funzionare su queste schede, ma con riduzione dei dettagli e risoluzione mediocre.

Processore quad-core a bassa potenza basato sul Kaby-Lake-Refresh. I quattro core hanno un clock tra 1,6 e 3,4 GHz (Turbo Boost) e supportano l'HyperThreading. La GPU integrata ha un clock compreso tra 300 e 1.100 MHz. Il SoC è prodotto con un processo FinFET da 14 nm+.
