Con un prezzo di listino di 649€ per la versione da 64GB di storage costa decisamente meno del resto dei top di gamma. A 699€ è disponibile la versione dual SIM con memoria di storage di 128GB. Per chi volesse risparmiare sono ancora in vendita online esemplari della prima versione (con le limitazioni di cui abbiamo parlato), oppure è possibile optare per la versione Blackberry KEY2 LE, presentata a IFA l'anno scorso, che rinuncia al metallo per il corpo e a un paio di Giga di RAM, ma con un prezzo a partire da meno di 400€.

Da non sottovalutare l’aspetto estetico ed esclusivo che questo Blackberry KEY2 riesce a donare. In un mondo di smartphone tutti uguali, lui è diverso senza risultare strano o con soluzioni poco pratiche. Ecco, probabilmente è forse esagerato valutare il Blackberry KEY2 come “non per tutti”, è la sua natura di nicchia che escluse una fetta di utenza e rende l’altra esclusiva. Lui è comunque uno smartphone Android come gli altri e riesce a dare soddisfazioni come i migliori del mercato, ha semplicemente un qualcosa in più di importante. Tanto importante da dover valutare bene il ritorno ad una tastiera fisica. Il prezzo da pagare per provare un’esperienza unica nel panorama smartphone è di 649 Euro. Un prezzo giusto, interessante e onestamente accessibile per quella nicchia di persone che amano la tastiera fisica. Se volete entrare in quella nicchia, scegliere Blackberry KEY2 è una scelta saggia.

Qual è il pubblico di riferimento del BlackBerry Key2? Sicuramente i professionisti o chi ha da gestire un flusso di email importante e si ritrova a scriverne spesso lontano da un computer. Non ha difetti e quindi non scontenterà chi lo aspettava, così come non convincerà i più giovani o chi si è ormai abituato al "full touch" a tornare "indietro". Trova però una sua nicchia di professionisti che solo con una tastiera fisica possono dare il meglio. Oltretutto è quasi l'unica scelta per chi vuole uno smartphone Android davvero sicuro.

Il Blackberry KEY2 è attualmente in preordine su Amazon al costo di 649 euro per l’unica versione disponibile da 64 GB. Il prezzo è a mio avviso un po' alto, sia per le varie problematiche emerse che per i vari concorrenti disponibili sul mercato giunti prima e adesso più economici o equivalenti. Per fare una comparazione veloce il Nokia 7 plus viene venduto a 300 euro circa, metà del prezzo di listino del KEY2. Con questo condivide lo stesso hardware ma con fotocamera e schermo nettamente superiori.

Costa 649 euro su Amazon color argento. Con TIM lo si può trovare nero. Tanto, poco, difficile valutare visto che è unico. Sicuramente un must have per gli appassionati della qwerty. Sicuramente verrà snobbato e non capito dai giovani che con i gesti swipe scrivono sicuramente più velocemente. Ma a me affascina. E' elegante, è diverso, è riconoscibile e retrò. Ed è maledettamente comodo grazie alle scorciatoie. Peccato per il blocco schermo sotto amministratore e per la camera non al top ma è un telefono solido, robusto, con un'ottima parte telefonica e batteria performante. Con tante chicche software, alcune più utili altre meno, ma che si differenzia dalla massa. Si rischia di non comprarlo per omologazione ma, se avete 45 anni come me, ne rimarrete affascinati. E non ve ne pentirete.

Una strategia focalizzata sulla privacy può essere vincente. Ci hanno provato in passato Blackphone e la stessa BlackBerry con il Priv, che non mancava certo di personalità ma aveva un prezzo fuori orbita per il panorama che lo circondava. Con il Key2 la compagnia si è tenuta più bassa, volendo popolare la fetta di mezzo, quella cioè in cui anche gli indecisi possono giocare un ruolo decisivo.

Underneath the volume rocker on the right-hand side is a button that does nothing out of the box. With the various changes that TCL and BlackBerry have done from KEY to KEY2 it has become a vastly and more welcoming device. I have been enjoying my time with it and am continuing to use it as my daily as of this typing. Its hits on so many marks with a killer battery that goes in for days and security software that lets you keep an eye on every app in the device. The keyboard has been improved and has assigned on providing better accuracy in my typing experience. While its software is secure I feel they can go in and fix some minor glitches that will help the user. Camera isn’t anything special and while it doesn’t work for me it may just do fine for others. At its pricing I would of liked to see a bit more or even if it was maybe $50 less. Also hope with its full release that carriers will be able to push some updates out to cater to its service better.
