It has a mid-range processor, 48MP camera, lasting battery — all elements to make sure that you don’t face any issues in the everyday usage. The phone also looks pretty neat at the same time. These specs secure Redmi Note 7S' position as a major player in the sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone bracket, which is quite difficult to make an impact on these days.

The Redmi Note 7S isn’t the only great option in the entry level segment. Realme and Asus both have great smartphones in the segment, but none can offer a camera with such capabilities. It helps that the Redmi Note 7S is powerful enough for most. If photography is a priority, the Redmi Note 7S would be a great choice, but I would recommend stepping up to the slightly more expensive Redmi Note 7 Pro for a truly fantastic imaging experience in the sub-15,000 rupees (~$215) category of devices.

Yes, the new Redmi Note 7S has a good performance coupled with a very good camera for its price, though it didn’t fare so well on the gaming front. Don’t buy it just for that 48MP number at the back. Buy if you are in due for an upgrade, and don’t want to pay extra for the Pro.
