Still, if you're in the market for a compact laptop that costs a third of the price of an Ultrabook, the Eee PC 1025C is worth a look. It can handle basic tasks with ease, weighs only 2.4 pounds and lasts more than three hours longer on the charge than the average netbook. Not bad for a laptop that costs less than $300.

EN→IT Archive.org versionAs I’ve mentioned at the beginning of this review, the 1025C is going to be Asus’s work-horse in the netbooks’ segment in 2012. It brings most of the features Asus can squeeze on these machines, a latest generation hardware platform and a good overall price, although I’m sure others will be able to beat it for on-par configurations (and yes, I’m thinking about Acer, with their D270 Aspire One).

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3650: Scheda grafica integrata nel processore (i.e. nell'Atom N2800) senza memoria grafica dedicata. Molto probabilmente basata sul design PowerVR simile alla GMA 500 ma con un clock rate superiore.
Queste schede grafiche per portatili non sono adatte al gaming. Anche se dovessero funzionare, ci sarebbero diversi errori grafici e un frame rate molto basso. Questi chips non sono affatto per i gamers! Applicazioni internet e da ufficio, invece non sono problematiche per queste GPUs.

Intel Atom:
La Intel Atom è una serie a 64-Bit di microprocessori (non tutti i modelli supportano 64bit) per portatili economici e piccoli (chiamati comunemente netbooks), MIDs, o UMPCs (Ultra Mibile Persona Computer). La particolarità della nuova architettura è l'esecuzione "in order" (al posto della consueta e più veloce esecuzione "out of order"). Di conseguenza il transistor count della serie Atom è abbastanza inferiore, e quindi più economico da produrre. Inoltre, il consumo di energia è molto contenuto. Le prestazioni per Megahertz sono ovviamente peggiori rispetto ai vecchi Pentium 3M (1,2 GHz alla pari di 1.6 GHz Atom).
N2600: CPU dual core Atom con una scheda grafica integrata SGX545 PowerVR e decoder video.
