Acer has not created the perfect convertible Windows tablet but, despite its somewhat mediocre IPS screen and some other niggles, the Switch 5 presents a very capable and good-value machine. Certamente migliorabile se penso al telaio e alle dimensioni complessive, mi aspetto una nuova generazione ancor più aggressiva al debutto la prossima settimana. Nel frattempo Acer Switch 5 resta una buona alternativa per chi vuole un tablet, ma anche un notebook leggero e in grado di far girare tutti i software più comuni. Mi auguro anche un progressivo abbandono dei caricabatterie con porta proprietaria, che si faccia largo alle USB Type-C!

Un convertibile 2-1 dovrebbe essere proprio come questa soluzione di Acer, che ha zero compromessi anche sotto il profilo delle porte a disposizione. Switch 5 è un pacchetto completo da portarsi a casa senza pensarci troppo. Il prezzo per questa configurazione con Intel Core i7 7500U con 8 GB di RAM e 512 GB di SSD, non è basso (circa 1450 Euro) ma nemmeno troppo alto rispetto alla media di mercato. Puntare ad una soluzione meno potente con un Core i5 potrebbe essere la scelta smart per portarsi a casa un bel mix tra comodità e prestazioni ad un prezzo umano. Ottimo lavoro Acer.

While this is a Notebook as it has a keyboard it is more likely to be used as a Tablet as the keyboard folds back behind the screen and then you have an excellent touch screen Windows unit that even comes with a stylus for accurate work. If fact the keyboard can even be totally detached should you wish.
