L'Acer Predator Helios 16 è contemporaneamente un portatile da gioco solido e silenzioso con molti aspetti di fascia alta. Grazie all'economica RTX 4060 e al suo maturo sistema di raffreddamento, le sessioni di gioco non causeranno sordità improvvisa nonostante la potente CPU a 16 core. Siamo rimasti positivamente sorpresi anche dal veloce display QHD e, anche se non abbiamo avuto a che fare con la variante del display mini-LED, il suo impiego è riscontrabile nell'illuminazione dei tasti.

Coming in at almost 3kg, and sporting a large screen and even larger body underneath it, being inconspicuous is a lost cause, but if you're buying a Predator, you're probably not aiming to be, anyway. Thanks to 32GB of RAM and the latest NVIDIA 40-series graphics cards, it mulches the latest games into fine dust and works through graphically intensive visual work while casually running a dozen other tasks alongside it. If you do go for it, I recommend the base 4060-equipped option, which gives you all the performance you need, at just under $/£2,000, much less than the range-topping, and swimmingly expensive, RTX 4080 model.

EN→ITAfter my time with the Acer Predator Helios 16, I find myself with very few complaints. It performs excellently, is comfortable to use, feels sturdy and well-built and has a gorgeous display. As for the downsides, it's mainly the size and weight that would hold me back from recommending this to everyone. It's a chunky and heavy machine that's best constrained to household use, especially when you factor in the bulk of the hefty power brick. That's nothing unusual, in the world of gaming laptops, but while you might be happy to lug about a behemoth with an RTX 4080 inside, it's a bigger ask when it comes to a specification like this. The upside of that is the excellent cooling. The keyboard area stayed cooler and more comfortable to use on this machine than any in recent memory, and that's no doubt due to the extra breathing room afforded by this sizable chassis.

EN→ITOnce again, the Acer Predator Helios is ready to inspire many people. It is clearly a medium-high-end gaming notebook, which has a ton of capabilities. The inclusion of a super well-populated port selection is great. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a MicroSD card slot, three USB Type-As, and more will be enough for pretty much everybody. Its internals are easy to access (although you need the slightly less common Torx screwdriver). You can upgrade your memory, and your storage, as there are two slots for either of them. Acer Predator Helios 16 (PH16-71)’s IPS panel has a WQXGA resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio, comfortable viewing angles, a good contrast ratio, and a high maximum brightness. It covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, as well as an accurate color representation. In addition, the display doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment.

Queste schede grafiche sono paragonabili alle entusiasmanti schede grafiche desktop, come la 9800M GT. Le schede hanno un core simile alle relative schede desktop, ma hanno un clock inferiore e spesso hanno processori con meno ombre.
