Following the trend for slimmed down, light machines with good battery life, the Samsung X520 is setting its stall out in a crowded marketplace, notable competitors are MSI and Acer. To stand out, it has a dual-core processor and build in DVD burner. Samsung have come up with a successful model in the slim, light, good battery life laptop department. You get close to 5 hours video play. Although the X520 gives limited performance, it’ll be enough for office docs, internet and a bit of photo work and video.

Samsung: Samsung Group è il più grande conglomerato sudcoreano ed è stato fondato nel 1938. Samsung Group impiegava 489.000 persone nel 2014 ed è una delle più grandi aziende al mondo in termini di fatturato e forza di mercato. Il nome Samsung significa "Tre stelle" in coreano e rappresenta i tre figli del fondatore dell'azienda. L'azienda nasce nel 1938 come negozio di alimentari. Con la sua controllata Samsung Electronics, fondata nel 1969, Samsung ha intrapreso la produzione di articoli elettrotecnici, concentrandosi fin dall'inizio sull'elettronica di consumo e sugli elettrodomestici. Altri rami in cui è attiva la grande società includono ingegneria meccanica, automobili (Hyundai), assicurazioni, commercio all'ingrosso, immobiliare e tempo libero. Samsung produce una vasta gamma di prodotti elettronici, inclusi smartphone, televisori, elettrodomestici e semiconduttori. La linea di smartphone Galaxy dell'azienda è una delle più popolari al mondo. Samsung è anche uno dei principali attori nel settore dei semiconduttori, producendo chip di memoria e processori per molti altri produttori di elettronica.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M: Il core grafico dell'Intel GL40 e della GS40 sfrutta una GMA 4500MHD con un clock inferiore (400 contro 533 MHz). A causa della velocità inferiore del core, non c'è un supporto completo Blu-Ray Logo e le prestazioni di gioco sono leggermente inferiori.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Scheda grafica intregrata basata sul chipset GM45 (Montevina). Più performante rispetto alla vecchia GMA X3100 grazie ha due shader in più ed ad un clock più elevato. Rimane, comunque, non consigliata per i giocatori più incalliti. Il processore video integrato è capace di codificare video HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2). Ad esempio permette la riproduzione di video HD compatibile con i requisiti del logo Blu-Ray, con il supporto nativo per unità Blu-Ray.

Intel Core 2 Solo:

SU3500: Processore single core ad efficienza energetica per piccoli subnotebooks che si basa sul core Penryn ed include tutte le (come Virtualizzazione, C6 state, ...). Le prestazioni dovrebbero essere paragonabili ad un Athlon II Neo K125 da 1.7 GHz.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: Un ritorno del nome Pentium, sebbene sia un core Yonah. In fatti, è un processore dual Core con un ottimo rapporto prestazioni consumi.

SU4100: Processore dual core di fascia bassa per subnotebooks sottili e leggeri. A causa del nome Pentium, la CPU potrebbe avere meno funzioni di risparmio energetico rispetto ai processori Core 2 Duo.
