Il realme 12 pro+ fa tutto bene nel suo mero utilizzo come smartphone: quindi velocità di base, chiamate e autonomia, con l’unico punto debole nella luminosità dello schermo alla forte luce del sole e in quello strano “effetto color shifting” in condizioni molto particolari. Un telefono che spunta tutte le caselle di un dispositivo che deve avere certe caratteristiche nella fascia di prezzo da 500, euro, sebbene in promo la versione da 8 + 256 GB si possa trovare anche a 400 euro. Come “macchina fotografica” il realme 12 Pro+ può contare sul sensore della camera principale in modalità 1x – il Sony IMX890 che ha già dimostrato il suo valore con OnePlus Nord 3, per esempio – e soprattutto sul tele periscopico 3x ottico che di giorno possiamo dire che è una sicurezza.

Buona la qualità costruttiva, così come interessante il suo comparto fotografico, mentre abbiamo delle riserve, del tutto personali, sull’estetica. Realme scommette sul design e sull'esperienza imaging con il 12 Pro+. Anche la durata della batteria è superiore alla media: tutto questo ha portato a un incremento di prezzo rispetto al predecessore, non eccessivo ma comunque presente. Quest'ultimo aveva una ricarica più rapida e la fotocamera principale da 200 Mpixel, di cui non si sente la mancanza. Anzi. Il display è abbastanza buono, ma ha una luminosità più bassa rispetto ai competitor: nell'uso quotidiano si nota solo se messo a diretto confronto. Il vero punto di svolta è dato dal teleobiettivo periscopio 3x versatile e dal design premium, che proiettano il 12 Pro+ 5G in una fascia superiore nonostante il prezzo. Pro Design elegante e IP65. Elevata durata della batteria. Reparto imaging versatile e con ottimo teleobiettivo 3x. Contro Sensore ultra grandangolare identico al predecessore. Ricarica "solo" da 67 Watt e non supporta la ricarica wireless. Np EIS durante la registrazione video 4K.

realme 12 Pro+ 5G è un dispositivo che prova a distinguersi in un mercato affollato, offrendo un pacchetto completo a un prezzo accessibile. Il design premium, l'ottimo display, le fotocamere versatili e le prestazioni solide lo rendono un'opzione appetibile per chi cerca un mid-range di alto livello senza spendere una fortuna. D'altro canto mi sarebbe piaciuto mantenere lo standard di ricarica a 100W dell'anno scorso, anche se comprendendo le motivazioni di realme dietro questa scelta che probabilmente ha voluto contenere i costi e semplificare la logistica. Ad ogni modo 67W sono ampiamente sufficienti. Altri piccoli nei sono le app preinstallate e il leggero surriscaldamento durante le sessioni più intense.

Il prezzo di lancio pari a 399 euro (dal 20 al 25 marzo) per la versione 8/256GB lo trovo pienamente a fuoco per quello che questo Realme 12 Pro+ è. Uno smartphone concreto affidabile, con un bel display, la giusta autonomia e un comparto camere che ha la marcia in più della camera periscopica. Un top di gamma scalato, quindi equilibrato e soddifsfacente in tutti i comparti. C'è anche la versione 12/512GB ma non so quanto possa valerne la pena spendere 100 euro in più.

Ci fosse stato all'interno uno Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 o un Mediatek 8200 Ultra ci saremmo trovati di fronte al best buy definitivo, al netto delle mancanze come la eSIM o la ricarica wireless. Proprio in questi giorni Samsung ha lanciato il suo Galaxy A55, uno smartphone che viene proposto sempre a 500€ ma che, se leggete la scheda tecnica, non è lontanamente comparabile lato fotografico a questo smartphone. I competitor al momento, esclusi l'A55 appena citato, sono POCO X6 Pro e Nothing Phone (2a). Peccato per gli aggiornamenti, avere un 3+4 sarebbe stato super mentre 2+3 risulta essere un po' poco. Vi anticipo che a breve vi renderemo partecipi di un blind test, un sondaggio dove sarete voi a votare le foto migliori. In questo esperimento abbiano inserito il Realme e tutti i top di gamma attuali.

Diciamolo chiaramente: Realme 12 Pro+ non è una grande evoluzione rispetto al modello dello scorso anno, che già ci aveva fatto alzare un po' il sopracciglio. A fronte di un design ancora più lussuoso, un assemblaggio notevole (con certificazione IP65) e una fotocamera zoom 3x davvero esclusiva, sono diversi gli aspetti nei quali il dispositivo è rimasto fermo al palo o ha fatto addirittura qualche passo indietro: niente di davvero eclatante, ma parecchie cose pesano soprattutto considerato un prezzo di listino non propriamente aggressivo. Se quello che cercate in uno smartphone Android è un look distintivo e un set di fotocamere buone un po' per tutte le occasioni, Realme 12 Pro+ può fare al caso vostro, ma ancora una volta l'azienda cinese non sembra essere stata capace di tenere davvero il passo della concorrenza più agguerrita.

Realme 12 Pro+ è un terminale che ancor più del suo predecessore, nonostante un “downgrade” dei megapixel del sensore fotocamera principale, fa dell’imaging e della qualità multimediale suo principale cavallo di battaglia. Unico nella sua fascia di prezzo ad avere un set fotografico completo e versatile, con una lente periscopica dotata di Ois e zoom ottico 3X, che può arrivare digitalmente fino a 120X. Il sensore principale, seppur da 50 Mp rispetto ai 200 di Realme 11 Pro+, è ora il tanto apprezzato e acclamato da pubblico e stampa specializzata il Sony IMX890, capace di catturare immagini luminose, nitide e dettagliate in ogni ambito di utilizzo. Molto bene la Realme UI 5.0 basata su Android 14, in pratica alter ego perfetta delle apprezzatissime ColorOS di Oppo e Oxygen UI di OnePlus, con 2 major update e 3 anni di aggiornamenti periodici garantiti.

Come avrete capito, è uno smartphone che -pur non essendo perfetto- ha diversi punti di forza e si fa apprezzare non solo in ambito fotografico. Il prezzo lancio è di 499.99 euro per la variante 12/512 (a fronte di un listino di 549.99 euro), ma è prevista anche una variante con 8 GB di RAM e 256 GB di storage (esclusiva Amazon) che permette di risparmiare ben 100 euro. A 399.99 anche la versione 8/256 ha sicuramente ragione di esistere. Un prezzo a fuoco che potrebbe addirittura calare ulteriormente con le varie offerte.

The all-new Realme 12 Pro+ can be yours at a starting price of Rs 29,999. Some alternatives to this smartphone include POCO X6 Pro (review), Motorola Edge 40 (review), and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ (review), all of which offer relatively better performance and viewing experience. Additionally, Motorola and Redmi smartphones come with a superior ingress protection rating – IP68, as opposed to IP65. Nevertheless, the Realme 12 Pro+ emerges as an impressive smartphone for its price. The handset exhibits a nice design with a leather finish, a crisp display, and reliable performance, complemented by Realme UI which looks more user-friendly than before. The primary and telephoto cameras of the smartphone are also remarkable in most scenarios, and the battery backup is quite respectable. If these aspects appeal to you, the Realme 12 Pro+ would be a worthwhile investment.

The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is a pretty good deal. You get a good display, a good battery performance, a premium-looking design, pretty decent camera, especially if you are a fan of portrait shots, and largely decent general performance. The only downside I can point out in the phone is the sometimes-laggy in-display fingerprint sensor and the bloatware in the UI. The latter is easily fixable. However, looking at the pricing of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, I really think the smartphone is still a pretty good deal. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, which is the biggest competitor of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, also has a largely similar performance overall. So, unless you are particularly a fan of Xiaomi phones, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G definitely is a battery value for money.
