The Toughbook CF-F9 has definitely made significant improvements in ruggedness, CPU performance, battery life and connectivity over its predecessor = though some may find the hefty price tag off-putting in the face of less rugged rivals. For those who need this level of toughness, though, there's really nothing to match it.

No, we didn't get totally medieval on our test unit (six words that spook the HardwareCentral accounting department: "You break it, you bought it"), and the F9 isn't guaranteed to withstand all imaginable abuse. But it's a sure bet to survive drops and dings that would put the average laptop out of commission and average laptop owner out of sorts.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics:

Soltanto i giochi datasi possono essere giocati in modo fluido con questi chips grafici (se non richiedono troppe prestazioni). I cores con memoria grafica condivisa in questa categoria hanno il vantaggio delle minori emissioni di calore e della maggiore autonomia della batteria. Per ufficio, internet, image processing, e video editing queste schede grafiche sono utilizzabili senza particolari problematiche.

520M: Il Core i5-520M ha solo 3 MB di L3 Cache (rispetto alla I7-640M) ed un clock tra 2.4-2.93 GHz (Turbo Mode). Grazie all'Hyperthreading, possono essere processati 4 threads contemporaneamente. Nel pacchetto è inclusa anche una scheda grafica (GMA HD 3150) ed un controller memoria DDR3.
