La recensione di Oppo Find X5 Lite: il “piccolo” della famiglia X5 con tanto da dire

L’Oppo Find X5 Lite si è rivelato un alleato utile per l’utilizzo quotidiano nonché un ottimo e bellissimo smartphone. Nonostante i limiti di un processore datato e di caratteristiche fin troppo simili al modello dell’anno scorso, Oppo Find X5 Lite riesce a distinguersi per un design accattivante e una grande efficienza. Questo però non riesce a nostro avviso a giustificare il prezzo di 499€, lievitato rispetto all’anno scorso. L’Oppo Find X5 Lite può essere dunque la scelta ideale nel caso in cui vogliate esplorare finalmente le nuove meraviglie che il mondo degli smartphone ha da offrire nel 2022. Se invece siete dei patiti di tecnologia e cercate sempre il top, magari la scelta può ricadere sugli altri membri della famiglia X5 di Oppo.

Questo Find X5 Lite svolge il compitino senza troppe sbavature ma risulta fin troppo ancorato alla scheda tecnica dello scorso anno e porge il fianco - visto il listino di 499 euro - alla diretta concorrenza che vanta un'artiglieria più fornita. Non è solo una gara di specifiche, intendiamoci, ma dopo averlo provato mi chiedo davvero perché mai preferirlo al Find X3 Lite del 2021 che online si trova quasi alla metà del prezzo. Differenze risicate, nuova piattaforma hardware che non sfigura ma neanche fa segnare un deciso salto in avanti (anche perché parlar male di Snapdragon 765G viene difficile). L'upgrade di memoria che passa da 128GB (UFS 2.1) a 256GB (UFS 2.2 da 1020 MB/s in lettura e 850 MB/s in scrittura) non basta a mio avviso a renderlo così desiderabile come spererebbe la casa di Shenzhen che, a dirla tutta, deve anche pensare ad un veloce aggiornamento per portare sul Find X5 Lite almeno Android 12.

L’Oppo Find X5 Lite 5G, è un buon prodotto di fascia media, con un processore che fa ampiamente il suo lavoro e zero impuntamenti software. Comparto fotografico nella media, nulla che faccia gridare al miracolo, presente anche il display da 90 Hz, ma crediamo che il prezzo di lancio a cui è offerto è un po’ troppo alto, ed è forse questo l’unico lato negativo. OPPO Find X5 Lite 5G è disponibile su Amazon e sul sito OPPO ad un prezzo di 499,99 € per la versione 8 GB – 256 GB da noi provata.

Il suo prezzo di 499 euro gli fa perdere qualche punto perché lo porta ad esempio a confrontarsi con il prezzo online di Find X3 Neo dell'anno scorso, ottimo telefono, o con il Lite dell'anno scorso che adesso sta intorno ai 300. Non che lui vada male ma non è un vero passo avanti rispetto alla serie X3 dell'anno scorso, forse solo per quanto riguarda la batteria!

The Reno7 5G a.k.a. Find X5 Lite is an excellent smartphone with a well-rounded feature set and reasonable pricing. Sure, there are better phones out there at the same price, but there are weaker, too. The Reno7 5G/Find X5 Lite offers an excellent 90Hz AMOLED screen, bright and responsive. The Dimensity 900 5G chipset is more than adequate for smooth gaming on the go, and coupled with the large battery, it delivers great battery life. We can also praise the cooling and the overall stability of the device. The camera is another aspect that gave us only positive experiences. The photo and video quality across all cameras are very good, and the hardware is consistently reliable. We liked the design, too, even if it's mostly plastic. The LDI process on the blue version is cool and makes for a unique effect and feel on touch. And while flashy, it is still pleasant to look at and can easily match any style - official or casual. Not all is perfect with the Reno7 5G - there are no stereo speakers, no obvious updates over the Reno6 5G, and no ingress protection whatsoever.

The sharp 6.43-inch screen is fantastic, its performance matches up to its mid-range rivals, the compact sizing makes it comfortable to hold and the three-lens rear camera system will surprise you with the quality of shots it can take. But, none of those points are what makes this phone stand out. It’s the combination of two-day battery life and super-fast charging that makes this handset really worth a look. Granted the Oppo Find X5 Lite does have a few flaws to contend with like the weak zoom, the so-so speaker and the lack of an IP rating - and to add to that, the competition right now at this price point is fierce. But even so, this is a fantastic affordable handset with tonnes to offer.

The Oppo Find X5 Lite’s web browsing lacked smoothness, which was a distraction when using the screen in its most basic function. The display’s brightness levels are programmed to be adapted to the time of day. While brightness was well suited in low light during the day, we found it to be a bit dim during the night. However, light transitions were correct. The BLF also gave the screen a noticeable orange cast. In outdoor and indoor conditions, the device lacked enough brightness for comfortable reading. In addition, pink and blue stripes were visible on the screen when viewing at an angle. For gamers, the display offered an average experience, with just a few visible frame drops when playing and accurate touch, which offset the aliasing and lack of smoothness when playing. Watching HDR10 videos on the Oppo Find X5 Lite was a poor experience because of the screen’s green cast and very saturated colors. In addition, the low brightness and the low level of details in the dark tones affected the HDR experience

Oppo has considerably improved the battery performance of its new Find X5 series, especially with the Find X5 Lite. Compared with its predecessor the Find X3 Lite, which fared poorly in battery performance with a score of 68, the X5 Lite has proven to be very well-balanced. Autonomy was decent overall, offering more than 2 days of moderate use and excellent on-the-go performances. Thanks to its 65W travel adapter, the charging experience is outstanding and very efficient. Charging takes only 37 minutes to fill up the 4500 mAh battery. But what is bound to please many users is that a 5-minute charging boost provides, on average, about 8 hours of autonomy. The Oppo Find X5 Lite’s discharge currents are very low, especially when streaming videos and gaming, showing that this device manages its consumption very well. For a high-end device, the Oppo Find X5 Lite is among the best in this segment and makes it into the top 10 devices in our overall battery database to date.
