In keeping to a budget though, Medion has had to make some sacrifices - although these are mainly cosmetic. Serious PC gaming fans might be a bit disappointed by the rather tame chassis of the X6811 (the game lights feel like a bit of an afterthought) and the keyboard has quite a cheap feel to it. The battery life isn't great either - and the power pack required to mains power this laptop is hefty to say the least (although this isn't an exclusive issue when it comes to big-hardware laptops).These are minor quibbles, however, and are more than acceptable when you consider just how much money you'll be saving compared to similar spec'd machines (that do look and feel quite a bit better admittedly). But, if you're looking to get in on the laptop gaming action, without having to break the bank, then the Medion Erazer X6811 could be the perfect machine for you.

The 15.6-inch Medion Erazer X6811 may not look quite as smart as some of its rivals, but it packs a powerful punch for a gaming machine that limbos in under the £1000 mark.

740QM: Il Core i7-740QM è una CPU quad-core di fascia alta per portatili (nel 2010) con un clock rate di base relativamente contenuto ed una elevata frequenza massima di Turbo Boost di 2.93 GHz (per un core). Pertanto, combina i vantaggi delle veloci CPUs single core e delle lente CPUs quad-core. Rispetto alle più veloci CPUs Core i7 mobile, la 740QM ha solo 6MB di L3 Cache.

460M: L'Intel Core i5-460M è una CPU dual core di fascia alta per portatili ed ha un clock (grazie al Turbo Mode) da 2.53 a 2.8 GHz. Ogni core si basa sulla micro architettura Nehalem (Westemere).
