Quando si tratta di versatilità, c’è sempre la solita scelta: laptop o tablet? Il laptop 2 in 1, il convertibile, nella maggior parte dei casi risulta scomodo e ingombrante da utilizzare in modalità tablet. E non è un laptop eccezionale. Yoga C630 di Lenovo, in versione Windows on Snapdragon, tocca tutti i punti che renderebbero un laptop eccezionale, ma si dimostra un campione solo in alcuni ambiti.

È difficile dare un giudizio definitivo su questo Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS, per di più senza nemmeno conoscerne il prezzo in Italia, ragion per cui al momento la recensione non ha un voto finale. Da una parte abbiamo infatti un convertibile che non svetta né per prestazioni, né per qualità generale. Dall'altra però c'è un'autonomia fuori dal comune, che permette di lavorare tutto il giorno lontani dalla corrente, e sempre connessi alla rete mobile. Per chi faccia della mobilità il suo pane quotidiano, è un dispositivo quasi unico, tanto da poter passare facilmente sopra ad altri suoi limiti. Per tutti gli altri è un dispositivo di fascia bassa, che potrebbe costare anche caro. Voi a quale schiera appartenete?

At the end of the day the YOGA C630 by Lenovo was obviously built by those wanting a Windows device that is always connected with true all day battery life. If that sounds like you and your applications operate on Windows on Snapdragon then the C630 might be just what you need. We managed to get almost 23 hours of battery life with the screen at 50% brightness and that is awesome. Sure, it isn’t the fastest laptop when it comes to CPU performance, but these Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms are getting better each and every generation. For $599 at Best Buy this laptop is fairly inexpensive for its current target audience, which would be business travelers or anyone working unplugged out in the field.

Factor in the super-long battery life and ultra-portable design, and this becomes a great option for students. However, it's worth bearing in mind that the ARM architecture suffers compatibility issues with 64-bit applications and isn't very powerful when compared to more traditional laptops at the same price point.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" dalla leggenda inglese, novo (latino) per nuovo) è stata fondata nel 1984 come società cinese di commercio di computer. Nel 2004, l'azienda era il più grande produttore di laptop in Cina e, dopo aver acquisito la divisione PC di IBM nel 2005, il quarto più grande al mondo. Oltre a desktop e notebook, l'azienda produce monitor, proiettori, server, ecc. ed è specializzata nello sviluppo, produzione e commercializzazione di elettronica di consumo, personal computer, software, soluzioni aziendali e servizi correlati.

Nel 2016, l'azienda si è classificata al primo posto al mondo nelle vendite di computer. Lo deteneva ancora nel 2023 con una quota di mercato globale di circa il 23%. Importanti linee di prodotti sono Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.

Nel 2011 ha acquisito una partecipazione di maggioranza in Medion AG, un produttore europeo di hardware per computer. Nel 2014 è stata acquistata Motorola Mobility, che ha dato a Lenovo una spinta nel mercato degli smartphone.

La maggior parte dei giochi attuali può essere giocata in modo fluido. Ma preparatevi ad una riduzione delle presentazioni grafiche considerando le impostazioni di dettaglio basse e la risoluzione limitata. Tuttavia, queste schede forniscono ancora abbastanza potenza per le applicazioni da ufficio e la proiezioni di video (ma non per i video HD).
