It actually has a stronger overall performance (Xeon E-2176M CPU, 32GB of RAM), a faster SSD and a more vivid 4K panel than the ThinkPad P72. However, you'd be losing out on some graphics performance, as it has a Quadro P2000 GPU. If you want top-notch graphics performance, the ThinkPad P72 is a solid option, but it's not our top workstation pick for this size display.

EN→IT Archive.org versionAll things considered, the Lenovo ThinkPad P72 is a great mobile workstation with a lot of power, and that's why I gave it an 8.5. Sure, it's thick, heavy, and it gets terrible battery life, but those are the sacrifices you can expect to make in the name of power, which is presumably what you want if you're even reading this review.

NVIDIA Quadro P5200:
Scheda grafica high-end per workstation basata sul chip GP104 da 16 nm (Pascal). Simile alla Quadro P5000 con velocità clock superiori. E' disponibile anche una variante Max-Q più efficiente ma anche più lenta.
Queste schede grafiche dovrebbero essere in grado di far funzionare tutti i giochi attuali con un framerates fluido ma rinunciando al livello di dettaglio massimo. Specialmente i giochi impegnativi come Crysis, Age of Conan, o Mass Effect sono utilizzabili soltanto con impostazioni grafiche ridotte. I giochi meno pesanti (e più datati), come Fifa 08, Command & Conquer 3, o Battlefield 2142 possono essere giocati con livello di dettagli più alto.
